upon first viewing one of the main things that stood out to me was his mastery of colour grading as each scene was consistent with the last this created the impression that all the characters were in the same club, I hope to replicate this in my own project, to do this I will analyse hells clubs colour grading and experiment with it in a anime format.

Another thing that I've noticed is his use of match-cuts between scenes as to not break the viewers immersion, Antonio makes use of similar scenes to produce this effect.
Antonio discreetly uses a split screen effect to create the effect two different characters are in the same room as each other.
I have also noticed Antonio changing the pace of his edits frequently often using a shoot out, chase scene or a fight to use sped up or high tension music and match cuts this is very effective as it breaks the monotony of previous scenes,

i used colour correction to enhance the quality of my clips as planned and I thought this was effective as there was a clear difference when I compared them, i also used a song called "sunroof" as it has clear beats so it was easier to cut and it also matched the up beat and sunny theme I wanted.

To improve my video i could use a wider variety of anime as i only used clips from 4 different ones i aim to use at least 5 
for each segment so I can meet my brief.

if done correctly effective sfx can help my project become more dynamic.]]> 2023-05-10 09:30:09 UTC https://padlet.com/14382981/5ji41negt71756wl/wish/2585224499 14382981 https://padlet.com/14382981/5ji41negt71756wl/wish/2598933575 For my second experiment I focused on rain as my theme, I was going to compile the footage myself but I found a clip on YouTube that had already done that, while editing I decided to experiment with adding the title of my theme to my video as I thought it would make my video more engaging as I had seen it implemented in other videos during my research, on reflection it did not really make a difference as its static and un-engaging and when I asked my audience for feed back they agreed "I don't really understand the purpose of the title and it kinda blocked the screen". 

While editing I used my standard colour correction and I also experimented with saturation as certain scenes were dull I increased the saturation in small increments until they were vibrant enough I had learnt how to do this during my research and so I think my cc was pretty effective, during my feed back I showed the before and after screen shoots and asked my audience topics which they preferred and most of them choose the one i increased the saturation on so in future i will add this to my standard cc.
I have completed my past feedback which was to add a wider variety of anime to my video, in this one I have at least 10 different anime.

for example whooshes for transitions or dialogue, overall i feel like i implemented this effectively because I have researched it before hand which I'm happy I did as I found it difficult to sync with my visuals, when I asked my audience for feedback they said they didn't really notice the Sfx as it was too quite and I didn't use effects on every transition to improve on this I will find higher quality sounds and maybe raise the volume of certain sounds. 

This time I used a faster paced song and focused more on match cuts as I wanted to experiment with different effects,

so far I feel pretty confident and I hope to have come up with my main idea by next week as I want to keep up the pace of my production and begin my presentation.

Week 2 - I have come up with my initial idea, its called "over edit" and it is essentially a multiple scenes from different shows put together under one overarching theme I choose this as my main idea as I want to be a editor and this project is the perfect way to display my ability, it will also help push and develop my preproduction skills so I can create a high-quality AMV show that I can present clear themes in media, I have begun writing my pitch and using my initial research I will be able to talk about what I will aspire to do in detail and I am confident I will be able to deliver it effectively as I have a clear idea about what my project will look like I have begun looking at similar AMVs in order to gain further inspiration and gain a better understanding of the structure of a AMV and emulate this within my own work .

Week 3 -This week I have completed my presentation and hope to begin my experimentation on sound, colour correction and effects I did this so I could decide what. kind. of edit I would be making and what theme would best fit it, this is important because I want to develop my project as effectively as possible I also want to obtain feedback on my experimentation so that I can make any changes as soon as possible. 
I have also started my research, I plan to focus on editing techniques because I want to develop my post production skills, I also have looked at my practitioners work for inspiration, for example I really like Hells club which is one of my practitioners projects and that was actually the inspiration for my over edit I felt confident enough because making montages is. the first thing I. learned how to do when I first started editing the but because films had already been done I decided to do anime instead .

Week 4- I have completed my colour correction experimentation and have documented the best ways to use certain features in my project for example in one of my experiments I played around with saturation and the result was a more colourful image, I feel like I have been making solid progress so far although with the approaching deadlines I feel that I should begin my initial drafts early as to save extra time in case I'm unable to complete everything.
I have also made my first experimental video and posted it on TikTok to see how my audience would receive it, when reviewing this the audiences reactions have been overwhelmingly positive so far I'm happy with my progress although network issues have made it difficult to start my other experiments and I worry that this could impede my development
 I will focus on my experimentation and paper work as I feel like I have been too focused on my practical work, I aim to review what I have done and review the mark scheme to insure I am on track to my desired grade.

Week- 5/6/7
I have completed my experimentation and have reviewed all feedback for ways to improve my project I feel confident as my previous experiments went well and my feedback is relatively easy to implement into my video, I found it difficult to work as I haven't been feeling motivated so I listened to music while considering a sound track for my project this seemed to help as after I had a few songs in mind I felt able to continue working.

my preproduction also really helped me stay on track as I was able to look back on my mind maps and check if I have achieved my objectives or not, this helped me consistently hit my targets by my set deadlines, my mood board was also very useful as it helped me come up with themes for my experiments.


week- 8/9/10
Over the past few weeks I have completed my reflections and have started uploading my work to Wix I have also began my drafts of my final project, I did this using da Vinci on my home pc, I prefer to use my pc because I cannot use my pre-sets on the Macs at college and editing takes longer.

to create my final project I have been gathering my clips from multiple sources as specific high quality clips are hard to come by, this is going to be challenging as I will have to keep track of all the links I used for my bibliography.
