The media I use is owned by big companies or wealthy people Because they owned everything by their own and they decided what news is shown and how it is explained. This might be change people thinking perspectives. That’s why have to look up different news sources, don’t believe any random one. Do some research on everything before believing.

The media I consume such as instagram ,tiktok,youtube,and news channels is mostly owned by large corporation for example mata owns instagram and facebook .Google owns youtube and big Canadian companies like bell and Roger's own many tv and news network.

Because these companies own the platform, they also have power to choose what information gets shown ,how its presented and what topic get more intention. This affect media while limiting view points ,promoting their own interests controlling what becoming popular and filtering what you see

We use YouTube as our main platform for watching videos and learning new things from media. We believe that YouTube has the most effect on the media because nowadays we watch everything this apps. Some of us took this app as the part of earning money. We know a lot of YouTuber as they earn millions dollars of this app from the viewers which YouTube earns by selling advertisements. Also we believe that YouTube has effect on the time people spend on watching videos, the short video from YouTube has been more popular than movie industry at cinema or other places.For example, we prefer to watch 10 minutes videos instead of watching 2 hours film.
