What is the Department of Forestry? What are their responsibilities?

They prevent and suppress forest fires and reforest bare lands.

A sawyer is a professional who uses saws to process lumber and cut it into wood pieces. They may participate in the production and assembly of certain wooden items, including dressers, cabinets, and tables.

From what we have learned in class, I find sawyers interesting because I didn’t realize the amount they do and the long process the in order to get the lumber we find in the hardware store.

What did you find most interesting about Robert's portable sawmill? WHY?

Unfortunately, I was unable to make it to meet the sawyer and was unable to see the portable sawmill. Because of this, I am unable to answer this question.
