         <description><![CDATA[<div>Chile has many holiday/festivals that they celebrate. One of these is the 10 day long Tapati festival. During this festival the people of chile celebrate their culture by participating in body painting, swimming and canoeing competitions, strength competitions, etc. during the festival they try to crown a festival queen. They also celebrate a holiday called Día de las Glorias Navales. This holiday is to celebrate the death of a national hero, Captain Arturo Prats. During this holiday the people of chile deck out small boats with Chilean flags and flowers and cast them out into the water. They also celebrate Christmas and new years just like we do in the United States.(IExplore)</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>the culture of Chile is very complex. chilis culture consists of things like traditions and unique food and music. one of he traditions they have is the way they great other people. Chilean people great others by placing their cheek next to yours and kissing the air and then repeating on the other side (On My Canvas). another unique thing about Chile, is their food. one dish popular in Chile is Empanada de Pino. this dish consists of minced beef, black olives, onions, and hard-boiled egg all rapped in a pastry dough (Worldly Adventurer). another unique part of their culture is their music. Chilean music is a combination of Spanish and indigenous music (World Music Central). all of this makes Chile's culture unique. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>although the U.S and Chile both celebrate holidays they both celebrate them differently. both Chile and the U.S celebrate Christmas. in Chile they celebrate Christmas at midnight on the 24 of December where as we celebrate it on the 25 of December. in Chile on Christmas eve families and friends come together to share a festive meal together. many Chilean people also attend church after there meal. however most people in America don't go to church after Christmas.
