We would use exit tickets because they are an amazing way to assess the extent to which students understood the day's lesson and for students to give you, the teacher, feedback as well. Exit tickets allow teachers to assess whether students got the big idea of the lesson and what the students misunderstood about the lesson. These help teachers to plan appropriately for the next lesson.
2. We would use a gallery walk because it is a great way to assess what students know about a topic, and it's fun! It gives students a chance to get up out of their chairs and walk around. Students could do this activity in groups of two or three, or by themselves , but doing it in groups would bring in a great chance for students to socialize with their peers.

3. We would use observations because it's something that we as teachers can either do throughout the day, requiring minimal writing, and being in-the-moment; or through strategies such as keeping anecdotal records, holding conferences with the students individually, and having checklists.

In earlier classes (429 and 440), we learned that formative assessment has to not take up too much class time, has to be meaningful, and has to help teachers to plan individualized instruction.
