March 21, 1965 - with the national guard protecting them 3200 marchers leave Selma for Montgomery
March 25 1965 - 25,000 demonstrators join the marchers when they reach Montgomery for a final rally at the state Capitol.
April 1965 -  3 men were indicted for the murder of James Reeb
May 1965 - one of the klansmen arrested for liuzzo’s murder turns out to be an FBI informer who testified against the other three. Each is aquitted
August 6 1965 - president johnson signs the voting rights act into law
