We had parked outside the park and there was a lot of commotion with so many kids. I was sitting at the back and was busy unstrapping my seat belt which had got stuck. My mom started walking as my baby brother was running in front and forgot to check if I had gotten out of the car. Luckily two people who had also just parked their car yelled out to my mom to draw her attention to me. I was very thankful to these two strangers and realise  that if they had not told her I would have been sitting there alone inside for a long time. I had gone to one storyteller's stall. The author's story had ended faster than my mom had thought. She had gone somewhere to get a snack and I was scared. My mom's friend saw me and she called my mom. They were in dire need of food supplies. My brother and I helped my mother and father prepare ration kits to feed 20 families for a month.

We still try and help them in every way that we can till date.

I am very grateful to God that I could be a part of this act of kindness and still am.

When our help did not come for the day to clean n cook I helped my mum by going down and buying some groceries. I also helped by putting the dishes in the washing.

Long ago I went to the temple and the priest gave me a chocolate as prasad. When I existed the temple I saw a needy boy on the road and gave him the chocolate instead of eating it myself. I've been helping my family members with the house chores, donating a small amount to charity and feeding the birds every morning. This is my act of kindness.

In the initial phase of lockdown due to COVID- 19 a flock of crows could not salvage any food so they came to the balcony of my home. I offered them food as I understood they were starving. They were afraid of me but I gained their trust by not shooing them away when they hesitantly came to eat the food. Now they are friends with me and come everyday in the evening for food. Even if I forget they knock on the glass of the balcony window to remind me that I had to bring them food. The crows leave my house happily, their stomachs filled and I too have the satisfaction of helping my winged friends.
