Im Pearl from NR2324. This is my first time to participate in such a large-scale event, and I can meet many new friends. I had an opportunity to lead an event, because the position I applied for was that of a leader, and I had a lot of delicious food and fun. The most important thing is food. It seems that they will prepare a lot of food, such as milo cars, and good buffets, as well as desserts and snacks, so that we will not be hungry, and there are also games to play. , and then you can take photos for free, and then you can get free snacks and so on. I felt that the whole event was very easy and smooth, and I got to know new friends. Whether it's the tone or various behaviors, it's great for me, a good experience. The most important thing is that the whole team is great, because our activities are on the third floor and the main activities may be on the second floor, so not many people come to visit, but everyone will work hard to find people and then perform , my team takes everything very seriously, which is what I appreciate most, so I feel that I have learned a lot from this entire range of activities and teaching, including leadership skills and how to communicate with others. It's a good way to learn, and by participating in this big event, I can get more CCA points, and then I can better develop my own leadership skills.❤️❤️❤️❤️

Participitating in OH2024 provided me the opportunity build on my self-confidence and put my interpersonal skills to use. Initially I was worried about not being able to perform the showcase skill as expected. However with the encouragement and guidance of the lecturers and team of students in the sim centre, I gradually built confidence in performing during the live show and was not worried even if things did not go smoothly.

Participating in OH Sim centre was a different experience as compared to the previous OH. This experience of putting on a show was interesting and fun. Being able to showcase skills and to have the opportunity to build my confidence as a person and share existing knowledge that is helpful to future prospects. I'm grateful for that. During this experience, I was also able to gain a few friends and even strengthen my friendship with those who I already know off.

Participating in OH2024 was a different experience for me to grow and learn the different parts of me. Not only that, i get to challenge myself and also make so many friends from different levels :)

i am umaiyaal from NR2228. This was my first open house experience with NYP SHSS , and i feel like this has been a very fruitful experience as i got to meet new people and gain new experiences . this event has helped me improve my teamwork and communication skills not only with my peers but with the public espescially parents who want the best for their child. this experience has helped to get over my stage fright as i had to put on ‘a show’ infront of students , parents , teachers etc. and the lecturers that were present on that day also aided us students and made sure the spirit was up which was really nice to see. thank you for making my first OH experience the best one yet ;)

OH2024 has allowed me to put my skills to the test in the Simulation Lab and demonstrating the skills and explaining to eager students and parents who have made time to come down felt very rewarding knowing some may join NYP as nursing students. I am also able to share more insightful and in-depth experiences with our visitors, which I hope has inspired many of whom we have spoken to to join a career that is not only meaningful but fulfilling in the best way possible. This open house has also allowed me to gain more courage to speak in front of a crowd without experiencing much stage fright, which is essential for the presentations that we have for module assessments. I would also like to thank my fellow Simulation Lab volunteers and lecturers: Ms. Emily Kwan, Ms. Ho Yim Fong, and Ms. Huang Fang who carved time out of their schedules to welcome and showcase NYP nursing, and they have been a joy to work with and talk to throughout the 3 days of OH2024. I look forward to seeing familiar faces when the new academic year starts, and I hope that I can help in OH2025 if given the opportunity.

I am Amalina from NR2324. It was a good experience volunteering for the Open House as it was so fun! i made new friends, i get to explore the facilities we have, i get to work hand in hand with amazing lecturers that made everything enjoyable. the lecturers kept thanking us for volunteer but little do they know, we’re thankful for this opportunity! thank you, Ms Emily Kwan, Ms Ho Yim Fong, and Ms Huang Fang for the amazing guidance and opportunity! i would loveeee to volunteer for OH2025 if i’m given the chance again! 🤍🤍
