This person lives in a two bedroom apartment in a family of three. He/she is a vegetarian who wastes little food and rarely eats out. This person used 72% of their target carbon emissions.

Reflection- My lifestyle is very different than this person's. One of the biggest differences is the house size. My house has more than 3 bedrooms and I live in a family of 2. Also, I eat meat and eat out a medium amount. I believe that this person has many features that help decrease carbon, and some that I can change to emit less carbon. The lifestyle of this person is conservative which helps them to use less carbon. My footprint includes a little more carbon for each question than this person's. I can make many changes over a wide variety of usage like food, housing, heating and cooling, and travel. One of the biggest difference between mine and this person's footprint is that my family and I spend a good amount of money on personal care products, clothes, and food, but this person doesn't spend very much money on these things. Some similarities between myself and this person is that we both don't travel very much, keep our homes cool in the winter, and keep our homes warm in the summer. Overall, a person with this lifestyle emits less carbon me, but the small difference of each question most likely is the reason behind the considerable difference of usage.

This person lives in a one bedroom apartment with 5 people, doesn't waste food, is vegetarian but sometimes eats fish, has one or two solar panels, walks or bikes everywhere, keeps the house cold in winter and hot in the summer, doesn't travel on planes, and rarely buys health or beauty products and clothes. This example uses 35% of the target carbon emissions.

Reflection- My lifestyle is extremely different from this person. We live in completely different sized houses, have different amounts of people living in the house, and spend different amounts of money on clothes and other healthcare products. One of the largest differences between this person is that they only travel by bicycle or walking, whereas I travel by car most of the time. Also, I usually ride on a plane once a year, but he/she does not ride on planes. Their lifestyle probably costs less, is healthier, and emits less carbon. Unlike the other comparison, this person answered the questions very differently than I did, unlike answering them fairly similar. I believe that a major reason why this person used significantly less carbon that I did was because of transportation. I frequently am a passenger in a car, but this person only walks and bikes. This is a large part of carbon emissions. Overall, these results are much, much better than mine and there is vast room for improvement for cutting down things to save money, be healthier, and in doing that emit less carbon.
