So as you can see from the poster, we can't say that participants had a preference for either frequency but the results of 2 ANOVA's show that the 432 Hz tuning frequency elicited faster heart rates and more emotional arousal. I think the most rewarding thing was actually finding statistically significant results. I know that sounds very generic and the first thing researchers look for after analyzing their results but, as a musician, this debate has been floating around the world of music performance and music theory for ages. If you look online there are so many people analyzing the formation of sound waves and shapes that these frequencies create in nature but none have ever been absolute or conclusive. There are number of music education and performance institutions around the world looking at this theory and the conductors there advocate for 432Hz tuning.
