We use a app to measure the angle from the person's eye level to the top of the super tree. The challenge that we face while we were completing the station was that it was raining. Thus we had lesser time to complete the station. For the first container, we dropped a tablet that is for the testing of the presence the amount of oxygen in the water sample into the container. We then shaked the container and waited for the colour change for approximately four minutes before checking it against the chart given in the kit. We then found out that the oxygen was 4ppx.
 For the second water sample in the other container we dropped a different tablet in to test for the PH level. After shaking for a while and checking it against the chart we come to a conclusion that the PH level of the water sample is 7.
Some challenges our group faced was we were unsure of how much we should shake the solution and when measuring the PH of the water we were quite unsure if it was a PH of 7 or 8. Thus, we took a group vote to see who agrees on what the PH level was in the end we decided to go with 7 as the votes were 3 against 1. For this challenge we applied our knowledge that we learned of PH levels during science to answer the questions.]]> 2017-11-01 04:29:15 UTC https://padlet.com/jj_choy03/5ijr12j808rj/wish/202381231 jj_choy03 https://padlet.com/jj_choy03/5ijr12j808rj/wish/202382463 In the Malay Garden, we learnt the different materials that are used to build the kampong houses in the past.  For example, dried palm tree leaves are weaved together to make the roof of the kampong houses. We were amazed that science was used to make kampong houses as bamboo, one of the materials, could absorb water from the rain through osmosis  to strengthen the foundation of the houses. The challenge we faced when doing this station was that too many people were crowding over the information board that contained the answers to the questions hence it was difficult for us to complete this station fast although it was an easy station. Although we did complete the station in the end, we were one of the last group. We felt that we could work faster and more efficiently if we had read through all the questions to know what type of answer the questions were looking for. We also have to measure the time take for a person to reach from the start to the end of the escalator. One of the challenge that we face was the inaccurate answers that we collected. We overcome this challenge by taking the average of our readings and comparing it to other groups to check our answers. In the end we manage to get a acceptable and reasonable answer.

We also learnt that math can be used practically and it has also allowed us to learn how to use math to solve real world context questions. We also learn how to work smartly and efficiently so that we would reduce the time spent on easy questions and use more time to work on the more difficult ones. Furthermore, we learn to be patient with each other and hear each other's opinions when working together to provide a fun and conducive to work together with.
