I was able to teaching in Iquique, Chile for one semester. My home away from home is called Alma Schrader Elementary. This great school is located in Cape Girardeau, MO. Alma Schrader is 1 of 8 schools in the district. It services around 410 students, at a 15:1 teacher-student ratio. The district as a whole had a push to see STREAM integrated into the classroom. My role as a 3rd grade educator is to make sure my students are receiving the most up-to-date methods that will impact their future. For this reason, I have begun integrating daily STREAM activities into the curriculum. I would like to see myself help push the district forward in assisting students with their future ambitions.

I commonly use Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, Pandora, online banking/bill pay, Snapchat, and texting. The most interactive technology I use for personal reasons is Cricut. I love the ability to design and create new things. I jumped in and used Bloomz with my parents to create a communication tool. I was able to share videos and pictures of activities we were learning. I could have parents sign up for conferences, volunteer work, or donations. It was a game changer. I also dove head first into letting the kids build onto their technology skills. They were able to use green screen equipment, Google Cardboards, chromebooks, iPads, and coding apps. These pieces of technology greatly enhanced the students' attention and creativity.

My husband, Boomer, and I just celebrated our 3rd anniversary. Boomer has been a fuel hauler for several years and is always teaching me new things.

 The cutie in pink is our daughter Ellie. Ellie is fifteen months old and full of energy. She is a large reason I want to continue my learning.
