Two Navajo comedians use English and Navajo in their skits. The two comedians use modern day English with baby boomer and current generation Navajo dialect and slang. Throughout their skit they use both Navajo and English language. If the viewer is unaware of the Navajo cuture, traditions, music, or language then the skit seems dull and dry. However if the viewer is aware of the culture, traditions, music, and etc. the skit is hilarious to the viewer.

It is important that a student should continue learning their L2 along with their L1. I have always been interested in ways to continue practicing my L1 while at the same time using my L2. After talking to friends and family, I have noticed that I along with many others use code switching daily. Along with using as much of our L1 as we can in the present day in order to revitalize a "dying language." Here are some examples and resources of how current ELL students can use modern technology to learn or relearn the Navajo Language in the classroom and at home.
