"I'm not really sure how to say this, but it could be anything from reading a full article to looking for a trade online. You'll probably eventually come across a paywall with the words, "to see more, start a subscription," or "to learn more, buy my book." It can seem as though everything is priced. Skepticism enters the picture here. You should consider if you truly need to pay for more information or if it's a scheme to get your money, rather than just believing what they say.

Proactiv has claimed that their product is 'Recommended by Dermatologists Worldwide.' Obviously, this is a marketing strategy, but it’s also a common case of recognize bias. The company is using the idea that dermatologists recommend it to make you trust the product more. While dermatologists might suggest it to some patients, there's no proof that Proactiv works for everyone.

Sage kits claim that you can clear negative energy away by burning sage. To this day, there is no research or notable facts that prove this is true. This product or 'lifestyle' really depends on the user, whether they believe in mystical energy or not. It's important to evaluate evidence here. Since there's no real proof that it works, it's hard to say if burning sage actually does anything.

Patagonia has a slogan that states 'We're in business to save our home planet.' This immediately targets people who love the environment. Don’t get me wrong, this is a great marketing strategy, but it also makes people buy the brand because it lines up with their personal values. And honestly, critical thinking shows that Patagonia knows this and uses it to get people to buy their stuff.

Starbucks shows Patternicity by being consistent with their customers, giving the same vibe and friendly customer service every visit mixed with personalized drinks that have your name written on it.
