Last week the English class was a bit different. My students of 7th grade (working in pairs) designed an NGO (non-governmental organization). The topic of this unit is volunteers and caring jobs. They were very creative and their NGOs were awesome!!!!
They had to present their work not only to their classmates but also to teachers.

On the 24th of April "XIV Jornadas de la ciencia para todos@s" was inaugurated in Úbeda.
This year some of my students participated with some inspiring projects. My favourite one is FEELING OUR HERITAGE, a project awarded for its sensitivity towards integration.
The main objective is that our students feel able to explain to the general public aspects related to the science that is done in our schools (there are many Key Competences at stake and evidence of good work) as well as to encourage collaborative work between professionals from the schools around us.

After several months of hard work building a scale Eiffel Tower in the Technology class and some small models, we are very happy to have participated one more year in the Science Park Fair in Granada, Spain.
The project "Industrial Heritage in our Technology Class" has been our contribution to the event, a European project that is now an official part of the STEM Discovery 2023 Campaign.
Our students had to explain all the steps of the project to the the audience, most of them teachers or experts, who were sincerely amazed with the work of our 7th grade students. They have enjoyed this fun and educational event full of scientific culture.

I work with younger children, but I have tried different methods to make them active and take over the role of disseminator especially in the large group ( 5-6 years ).

The preschool team is organized in the form of a semicircle, and in their midst the stars are arranged. In the middle is a large star, and over it is placed a large image that represents the work of people in the spring season. The other 5 small stars sit around the large star, warning children that a question with different colors is written on each star. The questions used are: WHAT ?, WHO ?, HOW ?, WHEN ?, WHY?
5 children each choose a star with a question. One by one, the educator reads the question on the star and explains how to work: each child who has chosen a star, choose another 3 – 4 partners with whom they form a team. They need to find more questions about the image presented together, using the question on the chosen star. At a signal, it returns to the semicircle, and each group represented by a child communicates the questions elaborated together.

This year I participated in an eTwinning project and one of the proposed activities was the creation of objects / toys made of recyclable materials. Together we brought to the kindergarten various materials found at home: plastic corks, paper rolls, cardboard boxes, napkin boxes, etc. I put a table on them all and a group of preschoolers chose to make a robot. At the end of the activity they were very proud of the toy made.

My students have participated actively in some eTwinning projects by using different apps (Genially, Canva, Animoto, Kahoot, Wakelet...).
One of the activities for the last project was related to ecosystems and they made a closed plant ecosystem. They prepared everything (pots, stones, sand, plants...), took the photos, made the video...

State review of the citizen project
In Croatia, the citizen project is being implemented for students from kindergarten to high school. Students present their projects at the state fair in the town hall in front of a three-member commission. My students also presented the project. Satisfied because they made the residents of the nursing home happy
They worked a lot on their communication skills
All our activities took place in our free time - we realized the importance of voluntarily investing our own time, effort, knowledge and skills for the benefit of another person.

The students participated in the citizen project with the aim of building a bridge between generations with songs and stories. We designed activities together, researched laws on humanitarian work. The students presented the project to their teachers at the teachers' council. They were presented with seven steps in the implementation of the project. During trips to the nursing home, the students chose the activities they wanted to carry out. They chose Christmas, Valentine's Day, Masquerade, Intergenerational Solidarity Day, World Read Aloud Day and Easter. They chose songs to sing or read. They researched with their grandparents what their generation likes and studied those texts. They were the bearers of the project.

After several videoconferences with their mixed group classmates (students from France, Italy and Spain), a final videoconference was organized where they presented their proposals to the teachers and families of the institute, as well as to the authorities of their respective cities.
