What comes in my mind when I read this is, sometimes, we may feel scared or not confident enough to go through something. Maybe because we feel that we are not competent or good enough. However, we will not be able to achieve IT if we don’t start to take the initial step. Be courage and go for IT. If we fall, we take it as a lesson in our life. Fall down seven times, get up eight ! So, I read this quote again if I feel discouraged to do something and I will feel positive and confident back.

The phrase that I hold on since than is:

'No matter what, go for it'

When first time I heard this phrase, it gave me a great energy and motivation to continue my journey even though it is very difficult. How difficult your life right know, never stop moving forward. Instead, take a break until you feel fine and get motivation again to move forward and continue what you are doing right now. Allah had stated in the Quran:

لَا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا
“Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear…” (Qur’an, 2:286).

Therefore, believe in Allah as He is the Best Planner for us. Never give up and go for it. Believe in yourself. It's okay to cry, but never stop trying. Inshaa Allah everything will be fine.

I learned to hold on to Allah so that no matter how many obstacles try to bring me down. When we start to feel worried about the future, we create a lot of scenarios in our head.

Instead of "What if.. , what if...", I change it to " Even if..., even if.."

Even if something happens, My Lord will surely guide me through, will surely be with me and will save me.

I learnt that patience is the most important aspect in our life. This can be seen when Yusuf(a.s.) was dumped into well then sold into slavery and jailed but he never lost faith and always persevered. Moreover, I also learnt that forgiveness also the aspect that I have to practice in my life. I got this lesson from prophet Yusuf(a.s.) story where he still forgave his brothers and prayed for them although the brothers had done everything bad to him. Furthermore, I also inspired once I heard about the obedience of Uwais Al-Qarni and love towards his mother.

Based on what I have reflected, I would like to improve myself by taking the lessons and practice them in my life. I need to be more open in gaining more knowledges especially religion knowledge as to benefit myself in the future.

- The most precious knowledge that I've got is about holding on to Allah. Usrah sessions always reminds me that Allah will always be my side whenever I am happy, worried, scared or sad. He is my Helper, my Gurdian, my only Rabb. I should not be scared for what will be happening in the future since Allah will definitely guide to make it through even though it is hard.

After every class, I am eager to search for more 5 minute Islamic videos to enhance my knowledge and strengthen my iman.

One of the session teaches me to keep moving and dont look back, which is when I am having difficulties, I should learn the lessons from it then try to get up and move forward, instead of stuck in it. I should carry what is good and leave what is bad from my past. Allah will grant my prayer on the right time because He is the best planner. These days, I start to learn on not losing hope for Allah's Mercy, ask for His forgiveness, dont give up and keep on trying to be the best Muslim for Him. I am always remembering myself to "Revisit my link with Allah".

Next, our usrah class also teaches me to take care of and increase my iman. For example, I should not put myself into fitnah, surrounded myself with bad environment where my faith will get tested for example, not befriend with someone who say and do bad things. I also should not keep procrastinating because it will cause me to be guilty and start to question myself about Islam as my religion. Thus, to preserve and increase the light of Islam in my heart, it should be fully in remembrance to Allah by pondering on Quran and spending more time reading it because Quran itself is the light. Hence, improvement that is being done is I start to read more on Quran translations after reciting it in Arabic to understand more about Quran.

Lastly, correct others' behaviours with respect and wisdom. I will sit first, think about it, make dua to Allah, ask for Allah's guidance then I can correct others with the intention of applying amar makruf nahi munkar as a Muslim. Improvement that is being done is I become aware on how to speak nicely to others about their certain behaviours, maybe that is the reason my suggestion or advice is being accepted easily by them.

My wish is to apply all knowledge I've got from these sessions and become a better Muslimah in the future.
