         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>SCHOOL DEMOGRAPHICS</strong></p><p>The school staff includes 28 classified employees, 31 instructional guides, two school counselors, a school psychometrist, and three administrative leaders. Demographically, the student population consists of .038% white, 97.89% Black, 0% Native Hawaiian/ Pacific Islander, 1.54% Hispanic/Latino, and 1.73% of students representing two or more races.&nbsp; Of the total student population, 85.03% of all families qualify for federal free and reduced lunch assistance. The special education population is 11.32%, most of which are classified as SLD which consists of 42% of the SPED population. The remainder of the SPED population consist of 30% speech and language impairments, and 28% represents students with other health impairments. 100% of the families report English as the primary language spoken at home.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>REPRESENTED LANGUAGES</strong></p><p>Although, Legacy Prep’s current enrollment does not include a representation of students and/ or families identifying as English Language Learners, we are dedicated to effectively implementing all requirements of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act, Plyer vs. Doe, 457 U.S. 202 (1982), Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act of 2001.</p><p><br></p><p>Legacy Prep ensures that all homeless children and youth, migrant, immigrant, foster care and English Learners are provided equal access to a free appropriate public education.&nbsp; Such children are provided the opportunity to meet the same challenging state content and state student performance standards to which all scholars are held without experiencing stigmatism or isolation.</p>]]></description>
