Fighting against racism and sexism, Ida B Wells used her journalism skills and the newspaper company that she owned to speak out against the discrimination. She fought for women's suffrage especially black women's suffrage as it was a change to have people of color to become politically involved.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>From the second she was born on March 13 1933, Ruth Bater Ginsberg faced sexism. Growing up Ruth's family was not wealthy and due to expenses Ruth had to give up her own education for the sake of her brother's. Yet, later in life Ruth became a supreme court justice where she presented the troubles with sexism to the higher ups in court.</p>]]></description>

She says in her biography that since birth she has been a feminist and grew up with Ms. Magazine on her coffee table. Nowadays she is an author and filmmaker who promotes feminism through her works such as the "I had an Abortion" project.</p>]]></description>
