Right. Let’s start with Seeds of Life. Environmentally, it explains that in the next 30 years, we’ll need to produce more food than humanity has ever produced in history. That’s because the global population keeps growing. But here’s the issue — many crops are vulnerable to disease, climate stress, and degradation. So the environment is directly affecting how much food we can grow.

Gianna:

And that’s where Generation Farmer comes in. Socially, we need a new generation of farmers to step up. A lot of farmers today are aging, and not enough young people are entering agriculture. If no one replaces them, food production drops — and that affects everyone. This isn’t just about farming. It’s about communities, jobs, and survival.

Samuel:

Now let’s connect this to Food Security. Economically, one of the biggest barriers young farmers face is land cost. In less developed countries, farmers sell food at very low prices, so they can’t earn enough to buy more land. In the U.S., it’s the opposite problem — land is so expensive that even profitable farmers struggle to expand. So the “where” matters. The challenges look different depending on location, but the result is the same: fewer new farmers.

Arjun:

And that directly impacts food security. If young farmers can’t afford land, food production slows down. Meanwhile, food availability is already dropping in some regions. That’s why this connection matters — because economics affects who can farm, and who can farm affects how much food the world has.

Gianna:

Also, in many African countries, family farms depend on rainfall. Climate change causes draughts and weaker soil. In other regions, farmers might deal more with flooding, extreme storms, or crop disease. This shows that food insecurity is a global issue, and the differences in regions change what is grown there.

Samuel: At the end of the day, Generation Farmer, Seeds of Life, and Food Security are all connected because they focus on one core question: Who will grow our food in the future?
