What type of changes have already been made to the Earth? http://www.dnr.louisiana.gov/assets/TAD/education/BGBB/1/earth_changed.html

Obtain, evaluate, and communicate information to identify surface features on the Earth caused by constructive and destructive processes.a. Construct an argument supported by scientific evidence to identify surface features (examples could include deltas, sand dunes, mountains, volcanoes) as being caused by constructive and/or destructive processes (examples could include deposition, weathering, erosion, and impact of organisms).b. Develop simple interactive models to collect data that illustrate how changes in surface features are/were caused by constructive and/or destructive processes.c. Ask questions to obtain information on how technology is used to limit and/or predict the impact of constructive and destructive processes. (Clarification statement: Examples could include seismological studies, flood forecasting (GIS) maps, engineering/construction methods and materials, and infrared/satellite imagery.)

Mountains were first flat plains under the ocean millions of years ago. That's why sea creature fossils have been found on mountains. As mountains get older they get worn away by ice, rain, and flowing water. We can't see the changes of mountains because they are built up, and worn away slowly over millions of years. There are four different types of mountains. They are dome, volcanic, folded, and fault block. Mountains are examples of Constructive forces. They are built up by the slow movement of the Earth's Crust.
