Nowadays, Robots are used by hundreds of police departments to inspect suspicious or dangerous packages. They are controlled via remote control command for movement and safety for right now. Robots can even be programmed to cut specific wires, deploy non-lethal tactical devices and work as surveillance objects. Drones allow law enforcement agencies to view scenes from the air to develop strategies to remedy the situation in a calmer manner.

I have read an article about this issue. It said that a fatal crash had occurred, involving a self-driving vehicle in US. A woman was killed .
The car was in autonomous mode at the time of the crash and the driver was unable to re-control it immediately. 

So I think this technology should be considered and improved to minimize the chances of accident.

The usage of HOSPI began in February 2015 and they are being implemented in phases. It is equipped with security features to prevent tampering, theft and damage during delivery. The robot's contents can only be accessed with ID cards. Automation enables HOSPI to move around using the lifts and between facilities on its own, delivering medicine and specimens. Besides that,  HOSPI is equipped with sensors and programmed with the hospital's map data to avoid obstacles such as patients in wheelchairs and complete deliveries with minimal supervision. I completely agree that this technology should be considered and improved to reduced chances of car collision.        It was so heartbreaking as the autonomous Uber car killed a woman in the street in Arizona,  in what appears to be the first reported fatal crash involving a self-driving vehicle and a pedestrian in the US. Actually, the self-driving technology is supposed to detect pedestrians, cyclists and others and prevent crashes .
