Mary also known as Mary Tudor and "Bloody Mary", was the Queen of England from July 1553 until her death. He is known for his vigorous attempt to reverse the English Reformation.His attempt to return property confiscated in the previous two kingdoms to the church was largely opposed by parliament, but during her five-year reign, Mary did more than 280 religious dissidents burned in Marian persecutions. he attempted to remove Mary from the line of succession because he correctly assumed that she would reverse the Protestant reforms that had continued during her reign. Mary was the first reigning queen of England In 1554, Mary married Philip of Spain, and in 1556 she became queen consort of Spain, however her religious policy was abandoned by Elizabeth 1 who succeeded her on her death

numerous Protestants were executed during the Marian persecutions. About 800 wealthy Protestants, The first executions took place over a five-day period in early February 1555, the imprisoned Archbishop of Canterbury was forced to watch Bishops Ridley and Latimer burned at the stake, In total, 283 were executed, the mostly by burning, the victims of persecution were praised as martyrs.
