Lorenzo: JESSICA! Let us run away together! My father, SHYLOCK despises your father, ANTONIO, but I love you! I cannot live my life without you!

I shall bankrupt his and his friend’s companies. That way, they will be forced to loan money from me. I will make them pay! (leaves stage)

(ANTONIO and BOSSANIO go on stage.)

BOSSANIO: Idiocy! Absolute idiocy! How can you loan money from that Jew?! Not only that, you decided to give your heart as payment if you don’t pay it in three months.

ANTONIO: Don’t worry about it, my friend. Go marry that pretty woman in Belmont. Your company is fine in my hands.
