I'm teaching in primary school. My students love to play games and when they're playing  they are relaxed and very motivated for learning.  Even though they like playing different types of games, they also like to explore and create something. 

Sometimes SEN students need help in playing games so I help them in playing. Before that I explain them and give them directions how to play. After the game they are usually very happy becuse they learned through game. 

 

I have to say that my students like to play games during the lesson. They are relaxed, very motivated and collaborative. Also, there are students who don't like to play or share their skills with others. In fact, they are lazy to participate in a game-based learning process so you need to put a lot of effort to make them open to others.

For SEN students games can be very helpful. If the teachers give instructions carefully and clear on a step-by-step basis they will compensate their learning difficulties and develop social skills through collaborative work. At the same time you encourage empathy and understanding in your classroom.

Also, there are some students who don't like to play or share their skills with others. 

For SEN I think that it is the best part because they could understand more quickly and easily the lesson, in facts games can be very helpful. When I watch them, how they work, that inspires me in order to invent new games for the upcoming lessons.

I’m trying to develop games taking in consideration the different types of predominant intelligences. Creativity is encouraged, and sometimes we craft and project together the elements for new games.

Games can be extremely motivating and have a positive effect on students while also boosting their self confidence. 

In my opinion, games are also a good opportunity to include SEN students.  

It is very important for me and my students to learn through games, so they do not find learning difficult. This is very important to my SEN pupils also and I often give them the opportunity to express themselves. I use games for motivation at the beginning of the lesson or at the end of the lesson. They all adore games. It does not matter if they play online or not. In games they show their knowledge and collaboration. 

 

It is much more effective to teach primary school students to play with.

All children can learn and all children learn best in a peer group. Individualized approach to the educational process the teacher creates activities and climate in the department so that every child feels successful.

 

They love game as they  don’t seem to be studying.

When we play Kahoot, sometimes they do it as a team and it’s easier and comforting for the SEN because success or failure is shared so they don’t feel they have failed individually. Of course, games must be contextualized and show the knowledge acquired or in the acquisition phase.

The game is the power that the child leads to new discoveries and to a higher level of development. It mirrors the child's desires, thoughts, experiences and feelings.

My SEN students are really enthusiastic when they participate in games and they are fully engaged as they are attracted by the appealing and  visually and sound rich environment games offer. Moreover, they are allowed to fail and retry without worrying about what their classmates may say. Finally, they have an obvious and fun target to achieve. And when they achieve this target, they are instantly given a reward, which in other cases may be too difficult for them to reach.

 because it helps them to answer and learn something in interesting way without stress of examination.

Students always love games, and in particular. All students will be thrilled.Especially active will be SEN because the game offers different levels of achievement. 

SEN students fell more involved in the group because the practice of game is something natural and innate and they perception of their limits is loosened.  

The games give ALL students the chance to express themselves, to be someone else, to be brave / quick / smart etc. And mostly SEN students will be able to show to their classmates that their able to participate and win (!) / finish the game. And it will help them to be part of the "team"!
