The Articles of Confederation was written by John Dickinson. The purpose of this document was to create the first government completely away from Great Britian for the United States. Some of the problems in the type of government this document was the fact that there was no executive branch. The central government could not collect taxes and the states did not have to pay them. No federal judiciary to settle interstates dispute. Unanimous consent of states to pass amendments. 1 state = 1 vote.

The contributors of the Articles of Confederation were Ben Franklin, Silas Deane, and John Dickinson. The purpose of this document is to state all the functions of the US federal Government. This was written after they gained independence from Great Britain. Some of the problems with this document were that there was no executive branch. It also said that the central government did not collect taxes and that the states did not have to pay them. There was no federal Judiciary System yo settle interestate disputes. It gave a consent for states to pass admendments. And there were no regulations of interstate or foreign commerce.

The author was john Dickinson Dickinson .The purpose of this document served as the written document that established the functions of the United States after it declared independence from Great Britain it established a weak central government that mostly but not entirely prevented the individual states from conducting their own foreign policy. Some problems with this document were in order to change the articles all thirteen states had to approve,to pass a law all thirteen states had to approve, and states had there own currency.
