~ The Sembawang Hot Spring water is said to have healing properties, such that when you soak your feet in the footbaths long enough, it'll sort of provide a refreshing aftereffect. The temperatures of the Hot Spring ranges from 40°C to 70°C, the water flowing in the footbaths being about 40°C to 50°C. Originally, the Hot Spring used to be under the ownership of a merchant, Seah Eng Keong, in 1908, who kept it a secret from the Press. However, it was found out by Municipal ranger William Arthur Bates, who then presented it to the Press. This then brought popularity to the Spring. By 1909, Seah decided to bottle some of this mineral-rixh spring water and sell it under the Brand Zombun; Mineral water.
