Can lecturers/academic staffs from the SOMHS award students who excel better (be it for attendance, test results, overall performance) throughout the semester and give a certificate of appreciation for their efforts for struggling students who manage to pick up their tracks and become better than previously? This pandemic has been really tough on a lot of students, but if there are initiatives like these to better award achievement/excellence, it'll be great.

Is there a way we can report people who don't contribute for group assignments? Brought this up to tutors/lecturers but they didn't give a 🤬. These are my marks that's being dragged down by people who aren't proactive + ignores messages AND don't attend classes. Stress lah.

Can we report the unit coordinator of PSY3130? Dr Adriana is always passive aggressive against her students and whenever we bring up about experiencing stress and requiring further support, she goes back to whiplash us with a "oooooh but we've set the deadlines before the semester started! deal with it yourself haha <3" attitude. We sent her an email outlining how students are facing severe burnout in Week 5 due to extreme amounts of deadlines due, and she really just replied us with "That's not true! Only 9% of students access our Moodle resources so you guys obviously have not done your personal readings and studies to constitute as burnout"

The unit coordinator for PSY 3130 had demonstrated lack of empathy for being a lecturer in psychology. In hindsight, she was a hypocrite by downplaying when students voiced out their frustration regarding their stress and burnout on assignments. This on top with her unprofessionallism in replying the message makes the unit demotivating even further. This has a very bad effect on students and she must be reprimanded for her actions.

+1 to the awards and certificate notion though. times are tough and if students who often show up in consultation, engage in tutor/lecture materials + do well in their respective units, it'll be nice if they can get a letter of recognition for their contribution in their studies

It would be great for PSY3130 to have weekly learning objectives

PSY3250
- tutorial isn't really helpful for learning. Feel like wasting my time attending it
- would be great if the Moodle page is more organised
- Really hope that the teaching team would make lectures and lecture slides, even if it's short one, summarizing and teaching the important, key points of the particular week content
- It would be great to have consistent weekly learning objectives also

We love the idea of having certificates! It's something we would have to bring up the next time we discuss with the CMOs. However, we have a few concerns as currently some students are studying online while others are on campus and it might cause the judgements to be slightly biased. Also, letters of recommendations can be obtained directly from the lecturers if you are close to a certain lecturer and have left a good impression on them. :) What would you suggest could be a great idea for an award? Maybe an award for academics or maybe extra curricular activities? We would love to hear your ideas. ~ Shawn

For group projects, it's true that some times there are some people where you guys just don't click. And that's reasonable. Perhaps the best way would be to talk to the person(s) directly and tell them how much those marks mean to you. If that doesn't work, the next best step would be to inform the lecturers in charge of the units. It's crucial that the person giving the marks know about something serious like such. Outing someone from an assignment is a valid thought, and it is incredibly difficult to determine how much someone contributes to an assignment :/ ~ Shawn

I still don't understand why the PSY3130 lect has to make sarcastic remarks towards her students. She doesn't give us enough time to formulate an answer and quickly went "Wow, thanks guys <3" in the tutorial. when students input their answers through the chat she gets fussy and annoyed. At this point its hard to believe she takes any constructive criticism

The PSY3051 unit coordinator is literally useless. Why is it that Australian students get seminars and workshops to prepare them for the final exams (essay questions & structured questions) yet Malaysian students only get a last-minute forum post about our exam details AFTER Week 12? If the staffs have been working for this long ij monash, yet are still so incompetent, it's difficult to see how our SETU will change anything 🙄

Dude. PSY3051 Week 12 lecture and slides were uploaded 3 days before the exam. 3. days. Excuse being that they uploaded it onto the 2020 moodle. They didn't even bother checking the learning materials and missed out on an entire week's worth of lecture. If this isn't incompetency idk what is.
