The burners use radiation to heat up the chicken by going from the warmer object to the cooler object.

The burners produce heat that heats up the chicken (radiation). The stick gets warmer because of the heat and helps heat up the middle of the chicken (conduction). The air around the chicken flows like a current pushing the cold air out and the warm air in (convection).

After cooking the meat, adding spices and different foods to go with the chicken, it’s time for it to be served. The lunch staff start cutting the chicken, which releases heat, and they serve it to the kids. Convection is shown when the air around the chicken changes temperature. If the air is warmer then the chicken, the heat of the chicken rises until it’s is the same temperature as the air, but if the air is cooler, then the heat of the chicken decreases until it is equal temperature to the air.

Conduction is shown when you eat the chicken because if you eat the chicken before it had cooled off, you would burn yourself. Conduction is when something makes direct contact with something else and heat is transferred. The chicken is hot and when it makes contact with your mouth it can burn. The insulation of the chicken keeps heat in for longer meaning it opens cool down as fast. Insulation keeps air trapped inside be a cause of little gaps that et heat in and out. The chicken has gaps even though you may not be able to see them, this lets the heat in and out, but mostly the cold goes out and heat stays in.
