This was a 7 British men committee made by Sir John Simon to consider the situation of India because India threatened to undo any cooperation between Muslims and Hindus

Congress decided to boycott this commission. All the parties, e.g., the league, the liberals, e,tc met and came up with a constitution. Pundit Motilal Nehru chaired the committee and it contained the Nehru report which had 4 points. 

After Nehru's report, Muslims felts that they are asked to make too many sacrifices so in January, the  All- India Muslim league met and Jinnah's fourteen points came into being.

Allama Iqbal called for the Muslims of the subcontinent into achieving an independent homeland and that there could be no peace unless they are recognized as a nation.

This was held in London. During this time, the independence movement was in full swing in India and there were incessant demands for dominion status to be conferred on India.

This was again held in London from 7 September 1931 to 1 December 1931 with the participation of Gandhi and the Indian National Congress. Two weeks before the conference convened, the Labour government had been replaced by the Conservatives.

The third and last session assembled on November 17, 1932. Only forty-six delegates attended since most of the main political figures of India were not present. The Labour Party from Britain and the Indian National Congress refused to attend.

Chaudri Rehmat Ali wrote a 4 paged pamphlet called Now or never in which he wrote that Muslims should have their own homeland called Pakistan which is a Persian and an Urdu name.
