         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Video- </strong>&nbsp;I learned that cats&nbsp; have a special layer of cells in the back of their eyes called the tappeton lucidum which gives them night vision that is six times stronger than ours and I also Learned that geckoes can see 350 times better than us at night due to their vertical pupils.<br><br><strong>Article</strong>- One of the main things I learned in the articles is that the color that we see depends on the color of light that is shined on the object and the color of light that is reflected by the object. Also, I learned that The object you see varies on the RGB lights. For example, a banana may look yellow to you, But to my eye, it may look red because of the way light&nbsp; reflects to me</div><div><br></div><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>I learnt that there are many animals that have more complex eyes than us which allow them to see more color than us.&nbsp;</li><li>Animals such as cats have a layer on their eyes known as the 'tapetum lucidum' which allows them to see at night. They can see up to 6 times better at night as opposed to the leaf tailed gecko who can see 350 times better than us at night.&nbsp;</li><li>Humans have 3 color receptors, whereas mantis shrimp have 16 color receptors and can see UV, infrared and polarized light.</li></ul><div><br></div><ul><li>I also learnt how we see color and how the colors we see are those that are reflected by certain objects.&nbsp;</li><li>If all the colors of white light are absorbed by an object, we would see it as black and if all the colors were reflected, we would see white.&nbsp;</li><li>The color that gets reflected depends on the properties of the object reflecting it.&nbsp;</li><li>The color of the light that is shined on the object also affects what color we will see.&nbsp;</li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Video</strong></div><ul><li>Cones are the reason we can see colors- humans have 3 cones to see primary colors. We have binocular vision.</li><li>Rats constantly have an eye rotating independently so that they can look for predators.</li><li>Cats have a special layer of cells located behind their eyes known as Tappeton Lucidum which gives them powerful night vision.</li><li>Leaftail geckoes have night vision which is&nbsp; 350x better than humans, as they have three supersized cones that give them clear vision in the dark, zones that refract light in different ways, and vertical pupils.</li><li>The mantis shrimp have 16 color receptors - meaning that they can see other wavelengths like infrared - and also have trinocular vision.</li></ul><div><strong>Article</strong></div><ul><li>Our eyes process light by firstly refracting light in the cornea, focused on by the retina, and then transferring to nerve impulses to the optic nerve, so that the brain can interpret them and translates to sight.</li><li>Color is just a sensation, and the retina has two types of receptors - cones and rods</li><li>Cones see color, rods help us see dark things and at night. Rods cannot see any color.</li><li>Three cones - red, green and blue. These are also the primary color of light, and additive colors as if we add them, they get closer to white light.</li><li>Some materials absorb certain frequencies and reflect the rest, and if a frequency is absorbed, humans cannot see it, but if it is reflected, we can.&nbsp;</li><li>Black is seen when all colors are absorbed, and white is seen when all colors are reflected.</li><li>Color filters are filters which only let specific colors pass through, whereas all others are reflected or absorbed, and may appear black.</li><li>For example, if a banana is kept in a blue filter, it will appear black as there is no yellow light.</li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<pre><strong>V I D E O </strong></pre><ul><li>Animals perceive colours differently from humans.</li><li>Humans can see 3 main colours (due to cones) - RGB (Red, Green, Blue)</li><li>Rats eyes can rotate, they use this to protect themselves from predators, as they can rotate up and see them beforehand.</li><li>Cats have a layer of cells behind their eyes that give them night vision 6 times better than humans.</li><li>Geckos can see colours 350 times better than humans, and can see absolutely clearly at night. This is because they have 3 supersized cones and vertical slits for eyes.</li><li>The mantis shrimp can see the most colour out of any animal on earth, they have 16 colour receptors that can see infrared light, trinocular vision, and more.</li></ul><pre><strong>O B S E R V A T I O N </strong></pre><ul><li>I think that these are the light colours, as I see green and not yellow. But it also seems to be on a black background which is different from what the colours mix into.</li><li>I also see the pigmented colours, because the colour is yellow, not green. And again, the background is the opposite from what the colours mix into.</li></ul>]]></description>
