This will improve fluency and comprehension skills, as well as confidence. Also to improve comprehension skills, include before, during, and after reading activities. Make freuequent stops throughout the book to ask questions to ensure mastery comprehension of the book. For word study, start with digraphs and then move on to long vowels. For writing, instruct when to use a capital letter. Also, Elena would benefit from pre-writing activities so she knows exactly what to write about. Make writing fun for her! Create a personal word wall for Elena that includes challenging fun words. One thing that she can practice is know when  to capitalize a letter. As you can see her "H" is capital. A review on nouns and proper nouns mights be helpful.
