It seems to me that she must have retired when she died, because if everyone is really psyhicic like the say they are then why cant we get new sermons from the afterlife?

The website heavily appeals to the red flag emotional connection via plastering Sylvia Brownes leathery 12 pack of cigarettes a day face all over, mainly to remind you thats she’s dead and also to remind you that her son somehow inherited the exact same powers, and is also using them to swindle lonely gullible people.

She only got a couple right Oklahoma bomber being two people, Arnold Schwarzenegger running for political office. The same Kind of predictions that you make with friends it seems to me. The article goes on to say that it turns out she got a lot wrong. Shouldn't speak ill of the dead (article says that too) but Sylvia Browne's predictions caused a lot of grief for families experiencing undue stress and hardship.She also got her death prediction wrong 77 actual instead of 88 predicted. 

Red flags present in all of her failed predictions emotional connection and belief in a higher power. Sylvia Browne preyed on desperate families looking for information about their missing children, and gullible police departments that used their budgets on her instead of capable resources.

There is also a quote from the first of her 4 ex husbands about how "Anybody who believes this stuff oughtta be taken.". Shedding some light into how Sylvia views her clients and the work she does for them.

Red flags present are as always emotional connection and Ideology. Most of Sylvia's failed predictions hurt parents looking for their lost children, parents that were so desperate for answers because of their emotional state.

Sylvia Browne has made tons of predictions about pop culture and current news. Only a couple of these have to be right and in hindsight she looks like she actually has psychic powers. The red flag associated with this is proof by verbosity

Sylvia was very adept at cold reading utilizing some advanced techniques such as having the audience sit alphabetically or shouting common names like Jim. Everybody knows a Jim.

The red flags here are emotional connection, since she is cold calling peoples dead relatives to try and illicit a response. There is also unexplained as she sometimes utilizes a spirit guide to reach the audenices dead relatives.

Sylvia Browne uses this technique to great effect on Montel.
