Topic Sentence 1: First of all things, in Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare the tragic ending was caused by the actions of the characters affected by their true fate.
Topic Sentence 2: However, others may argue that in Romeo and Juliet their tragic ending was caused by their own free will affecting their actions and events.

They were not forced to kill themselves it was their own choice. Romeo thought it would be the correct thing to do by self -immolation because of his assumption that Juliet went to rest.

Free will is what caused the tragic ending of Romeo and Juliet, because they made the choice of killing themselves because of what was happening around them. Every type of actions the character took at some point led to the death of Romeo and Juliet.
