I feel proud when teacher say we are good class monitors.

It was hard to get down our class for the fire drill and when it was time to get them to be quiet they kept talking.

My classmates do not wear their leadership badges.
When the teacher is not there, my classmates become wild monkeys and make a lot of noise. Some even run around.
Girls in the class have very messy hair and are not willing to cooperate.
My classmates get scolded daily for having very long finger nails, and I have to get scolded with them.
Taking attendance is very confusing as any of my classmates come to school late.
When I try to advise or remind them about things in a nice tone, they say okay. However, the next day, they do not do as advised.
My teachers are not aware of this.
My classmates get me into trouble many times.

One proud moment is when I got chosen as a Class Monitor for the 3rd time.I always tell my class to lower their volume.One of the proudest moments is when one person goes out of control,I will call the peer support leader to calm him down.If it does not calm him/her down,I will call one or two prefects to try to calm him/her down.If not,I will call more prefects to calm him/her down.If still not,I will calm him/her down myself until he is calm.If STILL not,I will ask the teacher to calm him/her down.

Time went slow as the slide that reveals our leadership role,I held my breath, as it reveals, I saw my name under the class monitor category, as I realised that my eyes gone wide from shock and my mind washed with happiness and relief, I couldn’t believe it, I was chosen for the first time, I can never describe the feeling when I saw my name, it will be forever etched in my mind and I will take this moment to take a chance and turn a new leave.

The problems that I face is that some pupils in my class do not listen to me when I tell them to keep quiet.Some of the students don’t wear their leadership badges,and some have long fingernails.To stop them from talking, I would normally first, write their names on the board.Secondly, I would ask the perfects to help me keep class discipline.To encourage pupils to wear their badges or to cut their fingernails, we can write the pupils who don’t wear leadership badges on the board.

One of the challenges I faced is one of the times,the WHOLE class is out of control,I write on the whiteboard that says ‘Keep Quiet and Sit Down’.But,they did not listen.they talked even louder and more of them stood up.I started to write their names on the board but even more people stood up,including PREFECTS and the noise was like at Expo Hall.I called the teacher next door and she told the class,”Keep quiet and sit down!Duty came back to normal when the teacher had gone back to her class.

As much as it seems exciting and amazing to be a class monitor, it comes with great and more responsibility too, The class was buzzing with chatter as the teacher left, many running and shouting, it really felt frustrating since you were there helplessly with over 30 students here you are standing in front. To begin with I began with the students who were running I asked them to sit down, but of course it wouldn’t be that easy, they started running again, I advised them to stay quiet and sited because it is dangerous and a terrible way to behave, they listened to my concerns and sat down. With the running situation solved I went to the talking ones, I asked them to stop talking but they wouldn’t listen,I felt writing their name isn’t right since they will be upset with it I allowed them to talk but they have to whisper,they agreed and the classroom was quiet,I myself was gradually impressed by how they listened. To this day I still use this method and they agree sometimes questioning it and I will ensure them with the answer.

One day the relief teacher was not here for very long.Two students were shouting at each other to keep quiet although none of them were quiet and started fighting everyone tried to stop them and they just wouldn’t stop fighting.

As a class monitor the challanges I faced were keeping the class quiet but the solution was giving warning but it didn’t work but the actually was to say “Read a book or I’ll tell teacher!”and the solution worked!

The challenges that I faces when I am a class monitor is when my friend are not listening to me and he/she started shouting at me and continued to play or talk to the other.

Sometime I was upset but I tried to calm myself down and talk to he/she nicely.If he/she doesn’t listen to me I just continues to reminded her/him but if it’s really over I need to talk to the teacher about him/her.

Sometimes, students will talk very loudly and even when I ask them to talk softly they would ignore me and continue to talk.

I would give them 3 warnings and if they still talk loudly after 3 warnings, I would write their name on the notebook to show the teacher.

Whenever a few of my classmates chatter boisterously or walk around the class to talk to their friends , the other class monitor and I will write their names. However, some would try to erase their names.When they do that, I clench and unclench my fists, as blood boils under my skin.However I will try to keep a straight face as my teacher would give them a demerit point if she sees anyone ‘s name on the whiteboard.Thus, the other class monitor and I decided to tell the teacher if our classmate erases their name or we try to write it on a piece of paper. Now our class is pin- drop silence when the teacher is not around.

Whenever the class is a chaos,me and the other class monitor coulndn’t control the class then there is one student who always walking around.And when we write his name on the board ,he will come to the board and erase his name off.when wetell him to sit down he would not listen to us and keep talking to his class mates behind. Whenever I write (My classmate) Jing Sen’s name on the board, he always runs up to the board with his eyebrows narrowed and erases his name while saying “No! 😏” In a weird voice and then continues to talk to his friends. Whenever he does this, I clench and unclench my fists while my blood boils! 😠 However, I usually try my very best to keep a fake smile plastered on my face. Him doing this makes me end up having to use a piece of paper to write his name.😩

sometimes, my classmates get out of control when they are frustrated or mad about something. Usually when these things happen, I will try my best to get someone to help like teacher. But sometimes, the teacher might not be around, so when this happens, I will go to the others classes nearby and ask the teacher for assistance. Sometimes.

There are times when there are no teachers in the class and I would have to take care of the class. Sometimes the students just won’t listen and I would have to finds strategies to make them listen.

When me and the other class monitor go up to the borad to write down the names of missbaving students, one particular student will come up to the borad and erase his name. Some times he will do it multiple times. Whenever he dose this, the frist time i will warn him but if he still continue i will get the prefects to handle the problem. If things get out of hand, i will tell the teacher

Sometimes, my peers fight with each other or talk loudly. So ,I will give them three warnings before I write their name on a notebook for my form teacher to see.If they still do not listen I will ask some prefects to get him or her clam .When they get angry I will tell the next door teacher or solve the problem myself.
