I know some kindergarten teachers that struggle with technology because kids sometimes have a hard time with separating technology and life. Students struggle with focusing when technology isn't involved because they are so use to something flashing or fireworks going off the instant gratification of doing something right. This way, it is easier for you as a teacher to keep them in line and monitor them. Although, I do believe that they should be exposed to some technology in your classroom. But it also good to introduce them to some new technology but not where they are completely tied to it.
