I give this book a 5 star rating. Because it was a really awesome adventure book. Then there was a really good twist at the end. Emily has lost control of her Amulet and is imprisoned in the Void, where she must find a way to escape the influence of the Voice. I give this book a 3 star rating because the name of the book came at the end of the story. Where the red fern grows is where the dogs were berried and the red fern grows above their grave. This is a book about a boy and he works for 2 years to save up enough money to buy to coon hounds. After he buys them, he names them Old Dan and Little Ann. They hunt coons and he has a competition with other hunters. He wins and then his dog Old Dan dies. Little Ann is so depressed and she does not eat her food. After awhile she lays down on Old Dan's grave and dies. Little Ann is berried next to Old Dan and then a sacred red fern grows in between them. This book is a about a hound and the death of Sir Charles Baskerville. One night he had died of cardiac exhaustion and many people thought that a hound killed him. They thought this because there was a legend a long time ago that this hound was plucking a guys neck and he died. Watson and Holmes were in charge of this case because Mortimer was the one who brought the case to Holmes to solve it. Since Sir Charles Baskerville lived in Baskerville Hall they needed someone else to live there and take care of it . So they had Sir Henry Baskerville live there. Then a lot happens when they try to figure out if the hound is real. Or maybe they will find the hound and kill it. I gave this book a one because I didn't like it at all. It was way to confusing and there was too much that happened. I eventually figured everything out but it took me a long while.
