Throughout the picture book, they begin to learn more about each other and what they enjoy doing. Soon enough they begin to realize that although they might live in different "worlds" their experiences are quite similar and are actually more alike than different.

All Are Welcome by Alexandra Penfold is a heartwarming picture book about diversity and inclusivity encountered in the classroom. The classroom is a safe space where despite where you are from or what you wear everyone is welcomed. Everyone goes on about their school day, sharing and respecting one another as they have fun side by side. The strength of the community lies in the adversity which is why it is something that the students are proud of. They get to learn from each other and discover new things about the world.

The theme I selected for my Padlet is Immigration. This theme is very important to me because I was raised in a town full of diversity, a town where many of my friend's parents had immigrated to the United States from all parts of the world. In fact, my family members of mine also emigrated from their home countries for better opportunities. It's very common to have diverse classrooms nowadays so essentially, having books that offer students knowledge and comfort can be highly beneficial. A couple of texts were recommended to me by a family friend who is a first-grade teacher and a couple of others were based on books I had previously encountered and enjoyed. The texts are accessible for all types of students, via physical or electronic copies.
