I always have them in the higher ranking because they have so much to offer and I would not mind working for an Accor hotel for my next internship.<br>2) Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts<br>I chose Four Seasons because it is my favorite hotel chain in the world. I have never really known why but its the class the luxury of it all that makes me want to work for them. My dream is to one day open a Four Seasons back home.<br>3) Rosewood Hotel Group<br>I chose Rosewood because I have been looking at a hotel for my internship in the Bahamas. She was a responsible for the whole department and she did have the final word. She did give the chance to everyone to express themselves and give an opinion. I thought this was great leadership because the only way to improve is by taking feedback and improving and that cannot work if only one person calls the shots. I think this creates a better work environment for everyone, both managers and employees! Motivates everyone!!!<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Write a short description of how the conflict in the workplace can be negative and positive, have you ever experienced this, if so, what happened and how was it resolved. </strong><br>In my last internship I was not involved in conflict but I did witness conflict between two of the supervisors in the housekeeping department. The conflict was due to miscommunication and could have been avoided if they had simply had a meeting and talked to the GG.&nbsp; The first supervisor had the training session on Tuesday and the other had it on Friday (which was the day off). So they agreed to switch days because supervisor 1 couldn't make it on Tuesday. supervisor number 2 did not show up on Tuesday neither on Friday. Claiming they had a conversation exempting both of them from work. The GG Called them both in her office to find out the thruth and understand both parties. In the end the lack of communication created a useless conflict which slowed down the HK service for the week. Now every decision of switching has to go through GG to avoid another situation like this. Conflict allows us to learn from our mistakes and come up with better work behaviour towards one another.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Forum answers-&gt;<br>What motivates you personally?:<br>There are a lot of things that motivate me... One of them being thinking of my long-term goals it helps me keep going to achieve these goals. The fear of failure and shame keeps me motivated. Wanting to make my family proud keeps me going.&nbsp; By making To-do lists I am able to keep track of my tasks and checking things off the list is one of the most satisfying tasks ever! Lastly, the thought of being the best version of me gives me the strength to wake up everyday and work harder than yesterday!!!! Doing something I enjoy and doing it well is rewarding itself; but if I am doing something I do not necessarily enjoy the thought of it being over makes me work hard to not have to go through it again...&nbsp;<br>----------------------------------<br>Hospitality motivation tools forum:<br>Hotels find ways to keep their staff motivated which can be quite difficult sometimes. In my past internship experiences working with Accor they have a special program for the staff. "we are heartist". Everyone works with their heart wether it is chef, housekeeper, concierge or security guard. They have employee of the month and recognise any good behaviour that benefits the group by sharing it in the weekly newsletter. Knowing your work is acknowledged and rewarded is the best feeling and best motivation. We always worked as a team wether you were a manager, owner, employee or intern everyone was involved and treated equally. The system of hotel benefits are also given the discounts with the hotel group, possibility to win a night at the hotel (friendly competition) to keep everyone working at 100%. I think rewards is a great way to motivate but also simple words like "Good Job; You can do it!" help as much knowing someone else believes in you. <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><em>Reflect on what defines Luxury in today's world (think about the communication methods we talked about, has the definition of luxury changed in the last 10 years?</em><strong><br></strong>Luxury is a concept it is something that not everyone can create or acquire. Luxury is a state of comfort that involves a lot of money. Many people usually have different ideas depending on where they come from etc; but the definition of luxury is shared across the globe. It is something people have in common; either wishing of it or living it. I think the definition of luxury ha snot changed a bit, it has remained. If anything maybe has increased because so many more things are now associated with it (things that did not exist in the 1800s).<br>------------------------------<br>Unconscious bias:<br>It is not easy to manage bias because we do it without realising.
