He is following this blue convertible, and a large truck. Robert was trying to pass the convertible, but the blue car then swung out from behind the truck and hit the front right fender of Robert's car. Robert tried to keep the car under control but spun into the left lane. One of hist tries popped on a rock, and that's when his mother started to scream. Robert then saw a car coming straight on, and in the front seat he saw a girl sleeping peacefully. He knew as of that moment that she wasn't going to even know what happened. As the cars were running into each other he woke up. The accident was all a test. Robert woke up in the police station completely dazed with no idea that it was a hypnosis. The cop explained everything then said to give him the money and sign the form. Even though the test was an illusion he felt what it was like to almost die. He felt what it was like to almost kill someone, and not even have it be his fault. When he would have woken up his life was gone. He was put in a mental hospital and it never even happened. The story is ironic because he was taken to a mental hospital for being okay with killing someone, but technically when a someone gets their license a car is like a weapon? It just depends on how you use it. Also, the story is suspenseful because as the accident is happening you have no idea that this is a illusion.
