From my point of view, the issue of inclusion has not made much progress in Colombia, although it is true, the groups that have felt excluded by society itself have struggled every day to be taken into account and be treated with great respect, however, there has been no concrete support from the state. The General Education Law of 1994 sought to promote this new vision of the country, where it claims the need for all Colombians to feel included in the same project, based on diversity and difference: race, sex, color, religion , of political creed, and other constitutive elements of Colombian multiculturalism. Starting from there, it can be said that the initiative has been taken, but when looking at the reality that exists regarding the subject, it can be said that little has been done and it is not enough to just take initiatives, but to make what is proposed to be brought to reality.

There are those who think that it is better to live without inclusion, since everyone should be in the place where they are without the need to improve themselves and get ahead. This is the case of people who are from the lower strata and feel excluded from people from the upper stratum, or those who have a better education than others.

The issue of inclusion is strongly related to the teaching profession, since in a classroom there may be disabled children, children with different religious beliefs, children from different ethnic groups, children from different socioeconomic strata, children with sexual preferences. Etc.

How can you contribute from your profession to this social topic? Why? I can contribute by creating inclusive spaces within the classroom, where children are talked to about the subject and then, with their support, open up to society so that they become aware of inclusion, to be able to live in a healthy and respectful environment. .
 Because? Because as a teacher I am interested in children growing up in a healthy environment, without hatred towards others, just because they are not the same.

How can you improve this social topic regarding your professional and personal role in Colombia?

First of all, I must prepare myself to be able to bravely face the consequences that this may cause, since the subject is not so appreciated by many. However, the way in which I would improve this topic from my professional and personal role in Colombia would be starting with the children in the classroom, motivating them to accept themselves and others. Then I would dedicate time to give a talk on the subject to the community and go convincing people to join the cause so that every day we are more and in this way we can spread throughout all the territories. I know it won't be easy, but with effort and dedication it can be achieved.

I think that all people should be treated with love and respect, no one should be excluded from society just because of their race, creed, stratum etc.

From my perspective, I believe that each person should do their part and act with respect towards others. In addition, I think that the state should make an effort to make these excluded people more relevant and that way they can feel the support to continue fighting. for being included.
