We recognise people who are good and responsible citizens, and this helps us to understand self and others. The Australian Curriculum; History has two interrelated strands. Knowledge and understanding provides the contexts through which inquiry and skills are developed. Concepts integral to knowledge and understanding include evidence, continuity and change, cause and effect, significance, perspectives, empathy and contestability. With inquiry and skills there is an emphasis on interpretation and the use of evidence.
