L3 Answer: The theme that this quote mostly connects to is poverty due to it saying it is mama's money to use since it is what mama earned. This would show that Walter might use his mama by using her money for something else because they do not have enough money to live a more peaceful life. This does hint at what the artist is saying because poverty is a big issue, and sometimes sharing money is important. It is important to say that there is permission to give money like where the quote states that it is up for mama to decide.

L4 Answer: I do agree with the artist's message here because sometimes we can't keep the money we make all to ourselves. And also, someone can't take it without the permission of who is keeping and making all the money like where it states it is up for mama to decide. She is the one that has the largest source of income. This still stands in 2023 because poverty is still an issue around the world. Many people are still homeless or poor and having a hard time living calmly due to worrying about money so much like this family. Mama -- She seemed like the person who was very kind in the story. She still is in the movie, but is a lot more aggressive but very dominant in the house. The way she expresses herself is much more prominent in the movie than in the book, especially with her dominance in the home.

Ruth -- She is similar in the book and in the movie, but her voice was a lot softer and kinder compared to what was pictured when reading the book after expecting her to stand her ground more.

Walter -- He is quite expressive of himself comparing from the movie then in the book. But he seems a lot more short-tempered than in the story, especially when he gets close to Beneatha arguing about all the money that's coming.

Travis -- Comparing and contrasting the book to the movie, it is about the same about his energy every single day, especially in the scene where the check came in and Travis had to confirm it was the right amount of money. What's different was that he is a lot calmer when it comes to his parents with his reactions towards Mama.
