It serves as guide for teachers specifically to new teachers for them to exhibit proper behavior to the learning community at all times. I learned that it is imperative that you observe and practice this set of ethical and moral principles, standards, and values. Teachers have great influence in the lives of their learners. They are expected to be professionally competent in the practice of their profession. 

The second concept that really instill in my mind is the Magna Carta Act for Public School Teachers. I learned that The Magna Carta for Public School Teachers helps us to understand fully the rights of the teachers. It protects the rights of the teachers like the tenure of office, academic freedom and other benefits. Some teachers are not privy to the provision of this code as this is not discussed with them.

The last concept of Teaching that struck me is the Teachers rights, duties and responsibilities which is the education act of 1982.  As a future teacher, this concept is very important to me. I learned that teachers have not only a legal responsibility but an ethical responsibility to protect their students. Teachers should pay attention to students’ behavior and create strong relationships with their students. If this happens, I feel that we will see a huge drop in numbers of children dying from child abuse and neglect.
