The process of the project over all was pretty easy. The project was fun and creative. The project allowed for me and my team to combine our skills to create a fun presentation. The project was really fun and overall I don't have any complaints about the project. One thing that could be implemented for next year is the ability to pick a whole act to do instead of specific scenes. ELA in the beginning of the year was much slower in pace but towards the end we were able to learn and master topics faster. In the beginning of the year we had homework that had been due the next day opposed to novel studies. With the faster pace and the change in homework made it easier to work. I would tell next year's 9th graders to focus, take notes, and always complete their work by giving 110 percent.

In the play Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare, The process of the project for me was necessarily straightforward as most of the work was already done when it was assigned. Something I specifically enjoyed about this project was how we could work as a group to complete this end of the year project. I loved having to showcase our work created from scratch to display towards many others as it was a new experience. Although this was an enjoyment to our project, Something I disliked about it was the anxiety to perform in front of other people. A couple changes I would like to implement next year would really be nothing at the moment. My own impression of ELA class now compares to the beginning of the year by this class being boring and unacknowledged for me. Although I had that opinion, Now I can say I've learned quite a lot during the past school year to prepare me for the next grade. Some 3 advice I would give to the 9th graders about the ELA class would be to Start strong and end strong. Give effort to any and every assignment because you will regret it later. Lastly Ask for help.
-Ten'e Hanks

By Abdul Sadat.

Throughout the whole school, we've had countless projects and work for different classes. The most bothersome one being ELA, as there is always extra work on top of other work. The latest ELA project we did was the Shakespearean playwright, which we were supposed to perform today, but fortunately we didn't have to. The process of the project to me was pretty easy, and tiresome. What I enjoyed about the project was working with Ousmane and Lewis. What I disliked about the project was people like Sincere and Aissatou not doing their work on time and making excuses, and even when they do their work, they do it late in the night at like 9 pm and 11 pm. Working with lazy people like them really killed my mood. Some changes that could be implemented are probably not making the end of the year project a group project? The script project could be assigned as any other project of a different time of the year, but definitely not the EOY. My impression of ELA has not changed since the beginning to the end. I'll hate the subject, but I can't bring myself to hate the teachers. Like they say, hate the game, not the player. 3 advice for next year to the future kids is, know how to write since that will save most of the class time. Learn how to divide your time between different homework to not get caught up in stress. And lastly, just be time efficient.

The end of the year project was easy, fun and straightforward. It also depended on us being as creative as possible which is something we don't always get chance to do everyday. I was mainly in charge of the script for my group, so my favorite part was creating the script and getting feedback from my group mates about any slang revising or things I should add on to make it more interesting. I have no complaints for this project because I honestly enjoyed creating this project. Some changes that could be implemented for the next 9th grade would be to recreate more than one scene or even an entire act. In the beginning of the Ela class, the work was a bit boring and homework was due the next day, but gradually the work got more engaging, homework began to be due a few days later, and everything began to fall into place by the end. In the end, I liked this class more than in the beginning, but overall I learned and mastered many new things, and if it weren't for Ms. Amponsah, my writing wouldn't be as good as it is now and I wouldn't be pushing myself as hard to put more effort into my work. Some advice i'd give to the next 9th graders is to try your best, stay on top of your work, and there's no such thing as too much because the sky's the limit.

So to begin, I can't really begin with the project, as this is a end of year reflection, so from the beginning the year went by smoothly but as all things were there wasn't enough time, And this time that i speak of isn't so focused on assignment time, I mean time in general. When the year first started, I thought it was gonna be slow and boring when in reality it was the complete opposite. Once that realization hits, you realize that you didn't have enough time/ didn't value the time you had in general. So my first piece of advice is Cherish everything while you have the time to as next you know that thing, place, or person that you cherished will be gone. Moving on to the project, The process of the project was surely different for everyone and shaped by the members of their group, For me at least, I enjoyed this project and the process we took to get there, We had our ups and downs as a group but in the end we got there and created something beautiful. Now with this comes my next advice, Make good with what you have, you aren't like everyone else, so you have to use your abilities to push through and thrive to surpass all those above you. Even if you fail sometimes you gotta accept what happens regardless of if you lose or win, or you get your desired outcome or not, not just in school in everything, once you attain that ability to accept you grow as a person and make development. “The difference between me and Rin is the difference in our resolve to accept. I sure am lame. I thought I’d finally reached Rin. No, I even thought I’d won against him. I lost to him, and was just picked to go on! I have to accept that reality!!” -Isagi Yoichi. What I enjoyed about this project was just the creativity poured into the project and how it was all in my and my group hands to take something and change it into something else, Possibly making something great into something greater.Honestly there was nothing I disliked about this project, and that I can say 100% say is because of who I had in my group, they all put in the work they needed to and went above and beyond to add more. I don't really think anything should change with the project itself as I really liked the format and it was straight forward, Maybe the one thing I would change is group selection process as that part might have changed how people did in the project did and perceived it, sure it was rewarding towards the people with the best grades but at the same time if your class wasn't well rounding, and you end up with the leftovers who don't do any work it becomes demotivating and you don't even want to do the project anymore. My Impression of ELA class fluctuated throughout the year as me personally I will always hate ELA the subject but putting that aside coming into ELA at the beginning of the year, I liked the teacher but as expected to me the subject was boring, Throughout the year up to now I still hate ELA the subject but I liked some of the projects given not all in general I still feel that the amount of work in ELA class is alot like very much to the point were you could very well feel demotivated and stressed just going to enter the class (especially those annotations). For my last and final advice is one I recently figured out this trimester is that don't take everything too seriously, chill and just enjoy stuff, and honestly teachers will say this is bad advice but prioritize some classes over others, So if you know you have homework for important classes due tomorrow as well as homework from a class like Korean prioritize those more important classes, This doesn't mean don't do homework for that class but being 100% real if you know your grade isn't gonna drop that much for one assignment and you got more important work to do prioritize that instead. Before I Conclude I would just like to give a special thanks to everyone I met, talked to, or just seen in general cause with out those people, Something entirely different could have happened, But thanks to everyone, That is all I guess, see you in 2045, Sidik For Pres, Well that is if we even survive that long. Stay safe, I'm out

The process of the project was stressful but also fun to do because we got to create our own play in our own modern terms and get to talk like if the play was made in modern time. It was stressful due to trying to make it look perfect and make it sound similar to the play even with our terms not trying to change up the theme of it at all. Something I had enjoyed about the project is getting to work with one another and get to act with one another also helping us get ready to do acting if that's the career path we are heading to. Something I had dislike about the project is trying to force people to do the same amount of work that we are all doing because some didn't want to do the work but eventually we did work. Some changes I would like for the project to be implemented next year is the kids to be more pushed to do the project because without the push most of them will think its a joke and doesn't mean much to the other scholars who are willing to actually do the work. My impression of ELA now compared to the beginning of the year is that it is very difficult than you think because you have to have many concepts that you need to deeply understand and not be lazy if you really want to pass. Advice that I will give to the next year 9th graders about ELA class is to not give up at all because ELA will seem easy at the beginning but when turning to the end it's going to push you very hard so don't give up no matter the circumstances is. I recommend you to actually pay attention instead of dosing off or not paying attention because whatever you learn in the class will actually help you in the long route, it could help you during the exam and the long route to college. Lastly, the projects that are given to you are amazing for college even if you don't think it's any assignment that is given to you it's preparing you for college even if you don't think it's not.

The playwright Project for Romeo and Juliet was very fun, and interesting. The project process was very short for my group and I, since we started working on it early. I enjoyed re-writing the play in modern times. Something that I disliked was all the other things we had to do. For example, the character page. Some changes that I would like are less required pages for the Canva. My impression of ELA has not changed, as I still believe that it is a boring subject. But I really do appreciate Ms.Amponsah for making it as fun as possible. Three advice I would give to the upcoming 9th graders is to be patient with yourself, complete all the work that is given to you, and ask as many questions as you need to for your own understanding of the topic. DO NOT limit yourself because of anything or anyone.

The process of the project for me was very stressful but sometimes fun. I really enjoyed writing and acting out the script because it was very funny and a fun experience. I disliked the stress it brought because it was the end of the year and there was so much going on. Also, having to be on top of your group members and worrying about yourself all at once was a lot. Some changes for the project to be implemented next year is more time and to push the kids to do what they have to because it's the end of the year and don't think it's a serious project that will effect them. My impression of ELA from the beginning of the year and now is at first I thought it was easy but overtime it grew more difficult. There was a lot of work that we had to put into master skills but in the end you get used to it and actually learn. Advice I would give to the next year 9th graders about ELA class is to pay attention to all the details as it gets more difficult. Manage your time because there will be a lot of work given and time to get ahead. Also, take things slow and try not to do everything at once. Stay after school to master skills and do what you need to. Tutoring is not something to be ashamed about and just have fun!

During the time of doing the Romeo and Juliet project , the process of it was overall pretty straightforward. This project benefited me by introducing me into Shakespeare and into a era i found to be interesting. What i enjoyed the most about the project was the fact that we created a play.We were able to create our interpretation of the story, which allowed us to use our creativity.Something i dislike about this project was not fully understanding the language of the book. This causing me to be confused at times and not prepared.I believe for the project next year what should be implemented is to let the scholars create their own play and not having to go off a original part in the book.In the beginning of the year i thought ELA was going to involve lots of writing assignments and essays , but i realized you can teach and learn ELA in many different forms. Now at the end of the school year some advice i will give to upcoming 9th graders is to not waste any time, everything counts and you shouldn't miss anything.Make sure you Pay attention because missing one thing can mess up weeks worth of work.Lastly, Have Fun you only go through 9th grade once.

The process of the project was long, but it wasn't that bad. It's easy to work with people when everyone gets along and is on the same page. I most definitely wouldn't mind working with my group again on a different project. They actually helped motivate me to do good, too. While working on the project, i enjoyed writing the script. My group was funny, and even if we got off task in conversation, we still managed to work and talk at the same time. It also opened me up to slightly knowing them better as people in and out of school, as well as being able to talk to them without feeling awkward. I disliked having to decorate it. I get that I'm a creative person, but when I'm forced to keep one certain theme while being limited with what I can do, it's hard to add that creativity part. For next year, the script shouldn't have to be decorated. I don't really see a point in decorating it, since we'd be performing the script anyways. I really like ELA, I always have. At the beginning of the year, I was fine with it, and at the end of the year I'm fine with it as well. Nothing much has changed since I can handle ELA classes, although the work felt like I was suffering more than learning, it all pays off in the end. Some advice I can give for upcoming 9th graders is to NEVER wait for the last minute- you can't complain about not having enough time when you knew about something in advanced and waited last minute to do it. Secondly, split your work into sections, and take your time. If you have 5 days to do something, split up the work evenly so it's all done before the 5th day. And lastly, take breaks. If you have to skip a homework assignment because you cannot handle it, it is okay, but don't let it become a bad habit, and make sure you uphold passing grades to actually be able to miss out on work without going below a 70. Enjoy the year while it lasts, there's so much in store, like all the fun events and new things you get to learn.

The end of year project to me seemed like a Herculean task at the start, but it turned out easier than I expected. My group was cooperative and most of us completed work in a timely manner. I enjoyed the script writing as it gave my teammate Berliz a chance to display her sense of humor, with help from the rest of us. I would have liked more time to complete the project just so it could be more polished and professional. At the end of the year my view of ELA class is overall more positive, as retroactively I’m able to see how the mountains of work we got set us up for success in the future. If we were able to keep up with the various annotations, novel studies, and Padlets assigned we hopefully can complete 10th grade with little difficulty. For next years 9th graders, I’d advise them to stay on top of work, pay 100% attention the first month, and just try not to stress too much. Once you start falling behind especially on homework your grade will be impacted and you won’t always get chances for extra credit. Even if you get extra credit it might not be enough to save you if you do no work. Once you understand ACEC, NEZZ, and Embedded Quotes you’re basically set for the year so pay attention when you’re learning that.

In my opinion "Romeo and Juliet"by Shakespeare was a pretty mid book. I was engaged in some parts of the book but in other parts I got bored. The project was very fun to me . I really enjoyed the process of the project which was making the script and making the idea on everything will turn out.I also really enjoyed how for some part we got to actually preform a bit and express ourselves. I disliked the part where we couldn't actually preform today. Some changes i would add is more longer parts and scripts and like we can preform on the stage in the gym because to be honest it would be pretty fun. My impression on ELA has defenitly changed from not liking the class to enjoying every min in that class.3 pieces of advice to the next year 9th graders is first high school fly's by enjoy each momment of it. Don't let other's opinion affect you. Last is to be you and don't let the little things affect you.

In this book "Romeo and Juliet" by Shakespeare, the process of the project for me was really easy and fun. I feel like this work can really help many others to get a distraction from the stress of more work and other things. For me this play was such a good experience and although we couldn't perform it. This play would've been awesome. What I enjoyed from this project was actually doing the play and getting to work with others to make this play come to real life. What I disliked about this project was really nothing for me because it was very creative and fun. Some changes I would like the project to be changed to for next year is really nothing. Ms. Amponsah did a great job teaching us how to be creative and on how to do this project. My impression from ELA class from the start of the year too now, definitely has changed I felt like as the year grew we had more challenges in this class and the only reason why is because Ms. Amponsah pushed us, but she pushed us in a way to become better at what were doing she prepared us for next year regents even though we didn't have to. She is honestly the most hard working teacher I have met so far and I'm thankful for the push she has given us. 3 advice that I will give to next years 9th grade class is to stay focused, be on track, and do your work. They should not give up because in the end all that you have done is to benefit you and your future, although you are in 9th grade I advise to not slack off because even though it doesn't "matter" it actually quite does. Just be yourself and work for yourself not for others.

Personally, I really loved this project as I felt it was the best all year. The process for the project was great and very fast paced because my group did most of the work within the first couple of days it was assigned. I really enjoyed working with my group in rehearsing the play. We had lots of funny moments trying to accomplish this masterpiece. I really enjoyed writing the play because lots of our own personalities were incorporated. It was honestly a really great experience. One thing that was challenging was the character page. We struggled on that. We changed it at least 3 times before finally getting it. One thing that can be implemented next year for a better experience would be to give scholars a theme and make them write and perform their own play based on the theme they were given. From the beginning of the year I really loved literature and I still do, probably even better now. Although there were some days that I dreaded coming to class, overall Literature is a really great subject. Thank you Ms Amponsah for making the year all the more better. Advice I would give to future 9th graders about literature is to work as hard as you can, do not let anybody bring you down and to believe in your heart that you can always do better.

The process of completing this project was the most part, pretty basic, as in we already completed majority of it, and by the time we had to add everything to Canva, we were able to make it look good, but also meet all the requirements. Even though we had to change the template, to a better version of it, we were able to pull through. What I found that I enjoyed the most was the review and diary entry. I actually didn't have any dislike for any part of the project, as the play was funny, but physical pushing/ attacking was needed, but wasn't that bad, unless you ask a different person. Some changes I'd like to have or use in future projects is to be like a second in command, rather than a leader, since I like to give support to others rather than gaining support. ELA hasn't really changed for me since the beginning of the school year because it has always been like this, where we would read a class book, then go over it, do some project, involves creativity and knowledge of the book, or topic of class discussion. One advice I would give you, is to make sure when the annotations are graded higher to Text dependent questions, focus on the annotations, they'll bring your grade up. Also, don't stop doing classwork, as over time, by the end of the trimester, you may have had a worse grade than last time. One final piece of advice to you future 9th graders is to always be nice to others, and your classmates.

The process of the group project was smooth for me. I say this because me and my group members each played our roles for having our project done. We also held each other accountable. I honestly enjoy making the script. This is because it allowed me to be creative and make the play interesting and have different plot twists.Something i dislike was having to act it out(kinda happy it got cancelled). The only reason i dislike this part because it's hard for me to be serious when it was time for me to act. But other than that i liked this project. Now when i first had ELA class with Ms.Amponsah all i was thinking how much work she gave and how she asked for so much when it came to writing. Now I still think the same way but now that i'm use to it, it's not that big of a deal. Some advice i'll give next year 9th graders is to one: Don't procrastinate when it come to annotations for books because if you do you will not finish. Two is to ask for help because if you don't you will be lost and that's not a good feeling. Lastly go to tutoring and study because it helps you out in the future. All three of these advice will help you in 9th grade ELA.

The process of making this project was pretty easy and fun for me personally. I got to do some writing, which I have liked since I was a young kid again. I enjoyed doing the acting of the play because it was really goofy. I disliked some of the writing that my fellow members did for the script because it was kind of cringe in my opinion. I would like if you could get extra credit for bringing in props because that would make the play more interesting. I view ELA in a more positive and playful light now because the projects we did were fun. I would tell future ninth graders to not give up. I'd say this because the year started out hard but got easier throughout the year. Secondly, I'd tell ninth graders to speak up because if they don't they won't do well on Socratic seminars. Lastly, I'd tell them to respect the teachers because I'd assume the year would go a lot slower if I had to be friendly to people who don't like me.

I dislike having to put everything on Canva. It would be hard to move things around and add things. A couple changes would be that everyone is able to agree with a group leader with their own group. People may feel more comfortable. My impression of ELA in the beginning was i hated it, the work and everything. Now, at the end of the year, it is my favorite class. Some advice I would give to next year 9th graders is to do all your homework because it really does count to your grade. Pay attention and don't sleep in class. And do all the work.

Nothing in particular I like nor dislike about the project. Nothing in the project got me excited or a part that I knew I wouldn't like came up either. Because of this I don't feel there is anything that needs to be changed as it's fine the way it is being simple and easy to do. My impression of ELA is neutral and hasn't changed one bit about ELA and would probably stay the same. The only way it could would probably depend on the teacher I have that year and probably would just be something that's personal. I don't have any advice to give to make the class easier. Just do the work, understand and do homework like in every other class.

My peers and I made the play really funny and all of us were putting in the work together. We all got along well so we were able to communicate well with each other and give great ideas that were all put into the play. What I really enjoyed about the play was how you were able to get creative but one thing I disliked was having to act out the play in front of people. I feel that no changes should be needed to be implemented and the instructions were clear . In the beginning of the year I believed ela was going to be boring and just a lot of writing although there was Ms.Amponsah included many fun little projects that made the class fun. Three advices for next year 9 graders are not to leave everything for last minute , take the extra help and practice being patient with yourself if you can't get it once try again.

The playwright project for " Romeo and Juliet" process was easy to me. We were given direct instructions and examples of how we should do it to get the best score. Overall very straightforward and something that I've never done before. As we were doing the project my favorite part was writing the script. It let me put all my ideas onto a paper and see it come all together when it was time to act. Although this was fun some of the dislikes I had about the project was we had to meet a certain standard that would make our project get a good grade, and not everyone one was fully committed to completing the assignment. Some changes I would like to be changed for next year is nothing really I don't find anything wrong with how it is now. My impression of ELA from the beginning of the school year was very boring I didn't want to do any of the work because there was no difference or spark to what Iwas doing. Towards the end of the school year I still found the subject boring and a lot of work but it does interest me more then it did in the beginning due to including things I've never done or learned before. Some advice I would give to the next year 9th graders about this ELA class is to be unique. Don't do something that everyone else is doing because it seems easier and the "safer" option. You're more likely to get recognized or praised for something that isn't like the rest of the class. Another piece of advice I would give is to manage your time. There's gonna be times were you're gonna get assignment after assignment and if you manage your time properly it won't be as much work to complete. My final piece of advice would be don't be afraid to share your ideas or what you're thinking. There's going to be a lot of talking involved like Socratic seminars you want to input you're individual opinion and ideas about the topic. I hope this advice helps you one way or another in this ELA class, and good luck try to survive as long as you can.

In the play "Romeo and Juliet" by Shakespeare , the process of the project for me was pretty easy and not as hard because group members did what they had to do and there was always support to be added. I enjoyed designing the project and making everything look nice but also working as a group always making ideas and helping one another if we need assistance also our creativity and how much our creativity helped us. I didn't dislike anything, I enjoyed doing the project and also it can help us in the future with our career. This project also helped me to understand Shakespeare because I didn't understand the wording at first but this project was really helpful for me to understand it. Some changes I would implement next year are none, this project was one of the best I have done and I liked every step of the way. My impression of ELA compared to now is that it was a little stricter in the beginning and stressful however now it's less and not as much stressful.

In the playwright Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare the project was super easy, usually I would have a little bit of a hard time understanding the projects but this on was really straight forward to the point and didn't require much effort. I would really make any changes to it its really simple. My impression of ela stayed the same though its one of the lcasses that gives a lot of work its very helpful and because the way the teacher teaches Im able to understand what Im doing I feel like all teaches need to teach that way and push there scholars to do there best instead of just giving up on them. Also giving them multiple opportunities to do there work while still being strict about turning it in on time. 3 advices that i would give the 9th graders is to not waste time because time is very precious. make sure to ask you teachers for all the help that you need, and Just stay focused.

The process of the Romeo and Juliet project was very stressful but also rewarding at the same time. Something I enjoyed about the project was the journal entry page, because it was where my creativity was displayed the most. I didn't really dislike anything about the project. But, being a team leader was very demanding. In the end, I found this as a rewarding experience, because I was able to use what I learned in ELA class and make my own playwright, which are skills that may come in handy in the future. Compared to the beginning of the school year, ELA has improved so much. Now, I'm excited to come to class as supposed to trimester one. And Ms. Amponsah did a phenomonal job teaching us, being that it was her first year. For upcoming 9th graders, one piece of advice is that you should pick your friends wisely, and think about the group you surround yourself with. The people you want in your circle should be uplifting you and not fooling around all the time. The second piece of advice is to manage you're time wisely. This is something I struggled with, because I didn't know how to study, and would always procrastinate. So, you should find a study technique that works out for you, and dedicate time off your day to do school work. My last piece of advice is that it's okay to get out of your comfort zone and try new things.

I enjoyed coming together with my group and bonding while doing the project, however I dislike how difficult it was using canva at first. No changes. In the beginning of the year, I thought Ela class would be the class i'd struggle with the most due to the amount of work given which i was not used to, but as the year progressed I got used to the work and everything got lighter. Three advices would be to actually do the annotations, focus on your work, and never miss a homework assignment.

In this play "Romeo and Juliet" by Shakespeare, the process of the project for me was really fun and entertaining because we got to work as a group. and we got to do something really creative which was an interesting experience. Something I enjoyed about the project was getting to work together as a group and getting to know each other more. Something I disliked about the project is getting to perform in front of people, and having to do the character description because I had to change it multiple times which really prevented me from doing other activities on the project. Some changes I would like for the project to be implemented next year is to make people choose what act and scene they want to do . My impression of ELA now compared to the beginning of the year is that in the beginning ELA was kind of hard to understand and the classes were moving really fast. But now I understand ELA a lot better than the beginning of the year. and I was also able to improve my writing. 3 pieces of advice I will give to the next year 9th grades about ELA class is to always do your homework because it affects your grade. to try and go to tutoring if you know you need help. and to always pay attention to class or you would miss some important information.

Rewriting the "Romeo and Juliet" play by Shakespeare had to be the funniest project we've done. I got to be creative and add a little bit of the Bronx to the play. The process was enjoyable because of my group members. They have great energy so working on the project didn't feel like such a hard task. Also every one played their part so I didn't feel overwhelmed with work. Although I did find using Canva confusing at first I eventually got the hang of it. Some changes I would want implemented for the project next year is probably to have a dress down for the play, so it could all feel more real. I do understand the teacher can't control that it's the school but it would be nice. My impression of ELA has changed from the beginning of the school year because I used to feel overwhelmed by the amount of work, and irritated whenever we would get an assignment, but as the time went on I got used to the work and found a schedule that helped me manage my time. I now enjoy going to ELA and having class discussions. Advice I would give to up coming freshmen is one to manage your time. I understand it's fun to hang out with friends but there's a time and place for everything and school work comes first. The second piece of advice is to not procrastinate, you're only stressing yourself out and making things worse. My last piece of advice is to have a good relationship with your teachers because you're gonna need their help when it counts, and it's not cool to be rude to your teachers.

Overall, the process of the project was easy for me. I can say this because all of my peers were helping each other out. Also, we were able to cooperate with each other with no problems whatsoever. What I enjoyed most about the project was coming up with the theme for the project. This was my favorite part of the project because all of us had such great ideas. We came up with things like Romeo and Juliet in the hood, but we scratched that idea because it was too generic. We also thought of things like Romeo and Juliet in Demon Slayer, but we would have had difficulty acting out the scenes. I would not want any changes because the experience of the project depends on how well you do the work, and how well you can cooperate with your team. At the start of the school year, I thought ELA would be filled with us doing book reports most of the time, and working on our reading comprehension skills. Now, I am grateful that we did all the work we did because I was able to improve on my writing skills and being able to identify literary devices with ease. I would encourage the next 9th graders to do their annotations and novel studies, as they can help boost their grade and help them understand their work, I would encourage them to ask any questions if they need help because asking those questions will lead to them understanding the work. I would also encourage them to pick their team wisely and to not pick certain people they are their friend, but to pick them because they benefit each other.

To be honest the process was very annoying. I really enjoyed thinking about the ideas for the project. One thing that I hated the most was the constant arguments. The arguments would stop us from actually doing the work. One thing that I would want to add for the next year is allowing the leader to kick out any person that isn't working on the project. My impression of Ela changed because I thought that Ela was hard and annoying, but in realiaty, it isn't really bad. My advice for the next ninth graders is to not procrastinate on any work, DON'T make the teachers mad, And make sure that you pass all of your classes.

Out of the two major ELA projects that we've done, those being the website project and this project, the process of this one was very similar, it was easy, fun, and didn't take much work because I had a great team. I enjoyed doing the design of the project since we had a space theme and one of my hobbies is studying astronomy. What I didn't like was having to fix the grammatical errors of the script even though the script was supposed to be grammatically correct because it was time consuming and didn't allow me to spend as much time as I wanted on the design of the Canva. I would like groups to be of the same size, I think having more or less of the amount of people in a group can determine the outcome of whether the project can do better or worse. My impression of ELA is more fun, at the beginning of the year it used to be my most hated class and I would dread going to it because I didn't know much about the topics going on in class but as of the past couple months its been getting easier and easier and the projects have been making the class more enjoyable as a whole. My first piece of advice would be to work with someone who can help you rather than a friend if you have a project, this is much better for you in the end and can potentially lead to a friendship forming through the project. Second piece of advice would be to read at a pace you understand, when I would get reading assignments I would put them off and would try to do them right before ELA class but this wouldn't help me during class because I wouldn't know anything that was going on in the book since I only read to read not to understand. My final piece of advice to next year 9th graders is to ask for help when reading old literature books during class because reading centuries old literature is no cake walk and you will definitely benefit by asking Ms.Amponsah.

The end of the year project was very easy fun and straightforward but very time consuming because i had to learn my characters lines and put emotion in to them. But it also was on how creative we could have possible being which is something we don't always get a chance to do.I was mainly in charge of the editing and the book title for my group, so my favorite part was creating the book cover and getting feedback from my group members about any mistake i made.I have no complaints for this project because I honestly enjoyed creating this project. Some changes that could be implemented for the next 9th grade would be to remake more than one scene. In the beginning of the Ela class, the work was a bit boring and very hard and i wasn't motivated at all to do my homework that was due the next day.But in time the work got more engaging, homework began to be due a few days later, and everything began to fall into place by the end. In the end, I liked this class more than in the beginning, but overall I learned many new things, and if it weren't for Ms. Amponsah, my writing and techniques would had still been bad just like last year.

I would say the process of the project for me was pretty simple but had minor difficulties. I would also say the process was pretty straight forward. I enjoyed creating the script because it allowed me the freedom to configure an older text into a modern text with familiar words and phrases. When it comes to the things I didn't enjoy, there were none. Some changes that I would like to be implemented to the project for next year is to let them act out more scenes. I would also say to ensure how serious the project is regardless if it's at the end of the year. My impression ELA hasn't changed from the beginning of the year to now because I assumed it would be challenging and it was all the way through. Advice I'll give to the upcoming 9th graders for ELA is to just persevere regardless of any annoyance they will encounter. Try not to leave work for the absolute minute because you really don't wanna have that stress lingering around you. The last advice I would say is have a great foundation from the beginning of the year through out all the trimesters, because it will pay off.

The end of the year playwright project based around Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” was overall fun and exciting. I enjoyed me and my group members being able to incorporate our own props and ideas into the project, it made the project feel more personal. Honestly, at first the thought of having to act out our playwright in front of the whole class didn’t sit well with me because I get extremely nervous speaking in front of a ton of people. However, I progressively began to look forward to performing, especially because I grew a level of comfort with my literature classmates. I can’t think of any changes that I’d like to implement for the project next year, this project was spectacular. My impression of ELA throughout the school year has changed various times. At first I was pretty excited for literature class, I’ve always loved writing but I wasn’t really comfortable in the class. Going into ninth grade my anxiety was horrible, I’m so proud of how far I’ve come. The extensive homework began to throw me off and I drifted from my admiration for ELA. But as the school year comes to an end, I understand and appreciate Ms. Amponsah’s dedication and strive which helped me to grow & improve.

From my perspective the process of this project went smoothly and I believe it was because I had cooperative team members. They were attentive and willing to work to create and put effort in this project. I enjoyed every part of this project it was very fun and easy creating it, I also enjoyed how all of my ideas and my team members ideas came together perfectly to make the project. For example the plots twists we implemented, this project honestly opened the creative part of me. Me personally, I don't have a part I disliked of this project. As of this time I believe this project was great and there shouldn't be any changes implemented for next year. The reason I say this is because it opens a creative side of you and displays your hard work greatly. My impression of ELA when school started has definitely changed throughout this school year. My impression at first was that it was going to be really hard and and different for me and as the school year is ending the journey was difficult. However, I learned so much from Ms. Amponsah and these things I learnt now I 100% will need to excel in my future years of education. The three pieces of advice I would give to the upcoming 9th graders is not to compare themselves to others who may be on a different pace than them but rather learn from them. Secondly, is to be present and do all the assignments given to you because it will impact you greatly because every grade counts. Lastly, is to enjoy the school year in ELA balance between having fun and doing your school responsibilities. It goes by fast enjoy whiles it lasts!!!.

In my opinion the process of the project was overall pretty easy. It wasn't a excessive amount of work and the idea of recreating a certain part of "Romeo and Juliet" was easy because it didn't have to be really long. I did enjoy the project because it allowed me to explore a creative side of myself and creating ideas of a new plot was fun with all my group members. I disliked how some group members didn't do their part of the project so others had to do extra work but besides that the project was overall fun. I wouldn't change anything about the project for next year because it wasn't hard and it was fun. compared to the beginning of the year i have a positive impression of ELA class because despite having lots of work and having some hard assignments the class was overall reasonable and there is way worse classes this year so ELA was pretty good. One piece of advice i would give to the 9th graders next year is that if theyre gonna skip any homework assignment they should not skip the annotations because its worth a lot of points. Another piece of advice i would give is that they should always give their full attention in class because they could miss a lot all in one day. The last piece of advice i would give them is that if they're not feeling well its okay to take a day to themselves and to put themselves before school since lots of people dont.

I didn't have no one to lean on to ask to finish because they would procrastinate, sometimes people would help but it would be rare. The part I enjoyed in the project was writing the playwright because I added all my creativity to that playwright then acting it out was also fun.The one thing i dislike about the play was really nothing honesty. I wouldn't really change anything in my project for next year. The impression of ELA class now to the beginning of the school year has completely changed because in the beginning I thought everything was going to be hard and stressful. Now it's just okay like not too stressful and not too complicated. Some advice I would give to the up coming 9th graders are don't wait to do your homework, and stay focused when it comes down to class work and class, then don't be afraid to ask question when you are confused or not sure of something.

The process of the project wasn’t that hard for me. It was a few steps to follow but overall, it wasn't that bad. What I enjoyed about the project was being able to write the script. What I did not enjoy about the project was acting it out. That was beyond me, to be honest. Some changes I would implement is more time for the project so we have enough time to memorize our lines and have our project ready. Another change would be smaller groups. My impression of ELA now compared to the beginning of the year is fun but also a lot of work. What's fun about it is the creativity. What's not fun about is the group work and the amount of homework we got. Three pieces of advice I would give to the upcoming 9th graders would be to do all of their homework. Pay attention. Lastly, enjoy yourself.

The playwright project was fun. It help me interact and work with people more. It also made me put effort too.The project process took my group a long time due to our laziness. I enjoyed making our script because it showed how creative we could get when making a story. The things I dislike about the project was how lazy my time was. My impression of Ela class was that we do lots of work for a reason so that we could have lots of practice and master something.

The process of the project was really easy for me.I enjoyed writing the script and the creative part like the diary . The things I disliked about the project was when it took a very long time before some of the people in the group actually did there work.I would not add any changes for my project to be implemented next year.In the beginning of the 9th grade ELA I thought that I would fail the class completely and not being able to understand a thing but I now I know that I was wrong and it was not hard as long as I asked for help I would understand the work. The advice I would give the the upcoming 9th graders is to ask for help when the need it and to not be afraid. They should put in a lot of effort in there work because if they don't they will be wasting there time. They should never give up even when works are hard.

For me the process of the project was fun because I was able to put myself in the shoes of the characters and become a different person. Although it was a little scary because we had to act in front of people the project was overall fun and pretty easy. One thing i did dislike about the play was the fear of having too act in front of people for our final grade and having to overcome the stage fright which was really hard and gave me anxiety. I wouldn't really change anything about the play because it was pretty fun and easy and if someone has anxiety they can always play a minor role compared to the people that don't so they're not overwhelmed and it can also be good to get out of your comfort zone sometimes even if you don't want to. Compared to the beginning of the year I have a positive impression of ELA because at first I thought that ELA was boring and was too much work but despite the class being a little annoying at times it wasn't bad and Ms. Amponsah made the class fun because she wasn't a super annoying teacher she just held us to high standards. 3 pieces of advice I would give to the 9th graders of next year is to take notes especially on ACEC lessons, give 100 percent effort at all times because one assignment can have a big impact and not to skip school because missing one day can start a whole spiral of confusion.

The process of the project was very entertaing and very enjoyable. My teammates did their work and didn't stress me out. I enjoyed making the documents and adding the pcitures for some slides while making the canva. Next year I wouldn't really change a lot about the project because there's nothing that really confused me while doing it. Ela became a little more interesting than in the beginning of the school year because we stopped doing the same thing every single day. We would sometimes stand and move seats and that got me to wake up from sleeping. I would tell the next 9th graders to do their homework because their grade goes down a lot for the littlest thing. I would also tell them to not really worry this much this years and to focus on their work or they'll fail. I would also tell them to make friends with teachers instead of being disrespectful for the smalllest thing. I would also advice them to make friends because they won't see the same people in all of their classes.

The process of the project was fun because I got to express myself through a project. I was able to use creativity throughout this project. What I enjoyed about the project was how my group members stayed on zoom with me up till night to finish our project. What I disliked about the process of the project was the fact that I had to perform a play in front of people, knowing I will forget my lines. I would not make any changes about the project because even though there was tough times, we persevered and created an amazing presentation through Canva. This project is a way to help people find their source of creativity and use their imagination to create a play. Also it lets students feel like a playwright. My impression of ELA at the beginning of the year was that it was difficult but manageable. Sad to say it was not that difficult compared to the end of the year because we were giving more work and it built a lot of stress. One piece of advice I would give is to practice on pacing because once you fall behind it is hard to catch up. Another piece of advice is to manage fun and work to have a balanced life. Lastly to wrap it up, choose your friends wisely.

Melissa Appiah

The process of doing my project was fun, even thought I didn’t get to work in the group I wanted it was still fun to do, and practicing the play was very fun I got to get a chance to learn about acting and it seemed really cool I tried my best to put my feelings into it. Honestly all the projects we did this year in Ms.Amponsah’s class was fun, we got a chance to explore more things rather than only Google slides, and I know the kids next year are gonna enjoy the projects, especially the canva and the Google sites, I liked using them the most, and later on in life I would love to use them to for any project I do. ELA seemed a little hard for me in the beginning but as the year was passing by I started getting into it a little more, it seemed fun, there is this book called The Bluest Eye it was a very good book to read, I was very interested. And three advices is, always read your book when you need to, because a time will come when your are told to talk about the book, and you can’t because you haven’t read, two, always do your homework it’s very important, even if you don’t want to it’s gonna count a lot towards your grade and three when it comes down to doing projects disregard friendships because your not gonna be able to actually do your work well if you don’t work with other people.

Overall I think the project was okay. We were able to rewrite the scripts and our own way as a group and the structure would be efficient. That was one thing I joined about the project. One thing that I didn't enjoy about the project was Abdul is stating that I didn’t put in any effort in the work and I come up with excuses when really I did put in the work is that sometimes I have technical difficulties and other things to do. I EVEN COMMUNICATED ABOUT IT TO ABDUL. and not only that when it comes to you making an edit he says this is wrong and when it comes to collaboration with working together in a special part of a group he would be so demanding and if you didn't do so he Would threatened to kick you out of the team.I also feel like he's also isnt talking accountability because we all argued and I feel like that's one thing that we need to work on the less arguing and more putting in the work. That's for next year. One advice I would give to the next 9th graders is make sure to study and try your best!

The process of the project was pretty easy to be honest. I didn’t have a problem understanding it or completing it. I liked how we had to act and we were allowed to switch the plot of the play. It made it fun and unique. Something I didn’t like about the project was how we didn’t get a lot of time to practice the performance. We only had one week to rehearse and we also had only one practice inside the library (well I did because I wasn’t present on Wednesday). Some changes I would like to see in the project next time is to have at least more prep time during rehearsal, at least 2 more days and to practice without the script. Those two days would allow students to implement memory as well as actually try to memorize the script. In addition, it would allow students to make improvements to the script as well as unify and make the project as well as it can be. Personally while we had “two weeks” it felt like we had to rush a little to finish it before the deadline. Three pieces of advice that I would give to the next year students would be: 1) Complete the homework, it may be tedious and exhausting, but it’s great practice and helps with time management. 2) Be respectful, it really helps the class run smoothly if students could respect the class, the teacher, and each other. 3) Have Fun, Ms. Amponsah’s class was honestly the best class I had this year. And Ms. Amponsah was the best teacher I had this year.

The play rewrite was the only one I felt legitimately included in.. but it was fun.

Keeping it real, I was extremely unhappy this year. I’m still extremely unhappy.
