With the help of my dad, I was able to get a pretty decent recreation of Angel with Arquebus. He posed for the image wearing a big heavy coat he already owned and we used the strings of my moms robe to mimic the pieces hanging down. I used Christmas wrapping bows to tie around his ankles and he held his gun like the angel in the image.

I chose to recreate this work because I really like the original painting. I think it's a cool image with an interesting concept. It was also helpful that my dad was able to be the model.

When recreating the Staff God, I kind of added my own twist. I wrapped a paper towel roll in different colored yard in a similar way that the Staff God looks wrapped. I chose my own colors because they are my favorite colors and I wanted it to be more representative of me.

I chose to recreate this particular image because I had all the materials I needed in my art basement. It seemed like a pretty good artifact to recreate for this project.

Recreating the Aka Elephant Mask was probably my favorite recreation out of the five. I don't really know why it just felt more fun. I took a paper towel roll and hot glued some patterned fabric I found all around it. Then for the two ears, I found little styrofoam pads and glued some fabric from cut up blankets I keep in my art basement. I just cut out some little eyes and a mouth from a piece of thick paper.

I chose to recreate the Aka Elephant Mask because I felt like I was able to really put my own twist on this one. The masks are different depending on who makes them so I was able to make it the way I wanted to. I also just thought it was a fun piece of art to try and recreate.

I chose to recreate the Seated Scribe. I had my friend Maya pose as the scribe and sit in the position he is sitting in. I edited the background to be black like in the original photo.

I recreated this one because it seemed like it would be simple and come out looking good. I also really like the way it looks and think it is interesting.

For this recreation, I just went into my front yard because we have a ton of stones and rocks in our driveway. I chose two stones that sort of matched and used a marker to replicate the image that is found on the original Apollo 11 Stones.

I chose to recreate this because my access to the materials was easy. I also thought it might be fun to draw on stones like how I used to when I was a kid.
