Inspiration for my BOW

For my year 12 BOW (Body of work) otherwise known as the "major work". I am currently looking at the popular children's book 'Window' by Jeannie Baker as a form of inspiration. My current idea is to do a global perception from different children perspectives through the use of the window. Would love ideas, influencing artists, general thoughts- feel free to comment :)))

TRAPPED is a short film shot only with time-lapse photography. The film follows a young boy trapped in an abusive relationship. We are confronted with the boy's way of coping with his circumstances.

Following up the idea of the looking outside of the window I've researched the possibility of using a theme of what refugees see out their window- From living in their country what do they see? To leaving their countries, what do they see? To mirror this idea of utopia and dystopia I have researched the idea of what I personally see outside my window as a comparison.

Since I was originally inspired by Jeannie Baker's children's book 'Window' I believe illustrating my artwork correspondingly in a child like form-

It is human nature that we all posses a parental instinct which causes us to want to protect our younger generation to which we also become more sympathetic when children are involved. I believe if I illustrate my work in this child like manner it will grasp more attention from viewers and provide a sense of both innocence and motivation of change from my audience.
