The greatest threat: climate change. Climate change, and the loss of sea ice habitat, is the greatest threat to polar bears. The impacts of this change are felt first and worst in the Arctic. Polar bears rely on sea ice to hunt and store energy for the summer and autumn, when food can be scarce.

When a bald eagle spots its prey floating on the surface of the water, it approaches its prey with a gentle, shallow glide towards the water. Then using its large and sharp talons it snatches the prey right out of the water. Then continues to fly out of the area. But sometimes these catches are not always successful. When catching a heave prey out of the water, the bird can be dragged down the water, resulting in the death of the bald eagle. If it did not drown, there is always a possibility of the bald eagle might die from hypothermia. If the water is cold enough, the eagle might get a cold and develop hypothermia. But most catches are successful.

A factor that causes the population to quit growing, or decrease in size all together.-For the past 200 years, habitat loss and pesticide intake have been the main factors associated with declines in Bald Eagle populations. People are attracted to water which are the main nesting areas for Bald Eagles, reducing their habitat. Another factor that has affected the Bald Eagle is water loss. People have consumed so much fresh water that it has affected Bald Eagle habitat. A huge problem with Bald Eagles have been poaching. Bald Eagles were once seen as a threat to chickens, livestock, and game so they were often shot by ranchers, farmers and hunters.
