I plan to use a QFT to introduce the growth of the Fertile Crescent. Students will follow the protocol to generate questions using the picture above, categorize the questions, flip the questions to different levels, prioritize, and reflect on how the questions can drive future instruction.

Cyber Sandwich will work well to discuss new texts and preview pictures.

I plan on using the Cyber Sandwich activity. To to this I will give my students a concept or digram, and have them develop level 1 and 2 questions using such. Students will use those questions to generate a level 3 question that is application based that I could give them based on that concept or diagram.

The hats strategy seems something doable during our unit of "Let's visit the city" where students can play the role of different business owners. These people can interpret an image of a busy city and extract from it the products that relate to their businesses.

Thinking Hats: The Boston Massacre

Above is a 1770 engraving, depicting the Boston Massacre. This engraving is highly biased against the British red coats and can be considered propaganda.

I plan to use Thinking Hats to have students analyze the artwork and understand how different groups of people would have viewed it.

White Hat: King George III

Red Hat: Patriot living in Boston

Black Hat: Loyalist living in the colonies

Green Hat: British Citizen

Yellow Hat: Red Coat who participated in the riot

Blue Hat: Patriot living in Georgia

I plan to use questioning cubes with my students to help generate leveled questions they can use throughout the unit we are studying.

I have had students create interview questions for an author using "Costa's Level" to engage in discussion about various aspects of the story.

I plan on using cubing as we study one, two-step, and multi-step equations. It will be leveled by using different colors based on student capability. Students will be able to develop better understanding by explaining the how each problem is solved.

We are planning for our upcoming unit on The Outsiders. We will use the Q chart in order to assist students in generating questions for the novel. We will also used a modified "thinking hat" activity by giving the students colored cards to symbolize the character they would be for that chapter. For example, in Chapter 1 generate questions from the point of view of Ponyboy.

I plan on using thinking hats for students to identify proper concert etiquette both on stage and off. This allows for students to reflect on themselves as well as how they present as an ensemble. This will encourage proper posture sitting and standing. And encourage self discipline as we approach concert season.

I love the question cubes! I plan on using them when introducing a unit in order to examine a still photo or at the end of the unit to demonstrate mastery of the content.

We plan to use the Question Cubes with our Math 6 Inclusion classes. We can create colored cubes for each table, and have students answer the question on the cube that matches their comfort level. Since the cubes are generic, they can be used for any topic and be a quick way to do check ins. This will work regardless of how our tables are grouped

I plan to use the Cubing Activity based on ability level and for differentiation when applicable in the math class.

I like how the students will then roll the cube and it will be the right fit for those students to complete those tasks.

I plan on using this in a QFT/science phenomenon for an intro to a new unit or concept. We can give students different roles that are related to members of the science community (examples: student, professor, scientist, onlooker).
