So we decided to find out some evidence regarding multi-culture in Brick Lane to enrich the content of our poster. As it turns out that Brick Lane is truly one symbolic area about multiculturism in London.
To be specific, the deepest impression in my mind is that there is a huge number of Bangladeshi restaurants and stores, which marked Brick Lane is one main settlement area for Bangladeshi and they are made of the major group of immigrants. Moreover, the diverse of architecture in Brick Lane should be mentioned, one chapel called La Neuve Eglise, which was built by Huguenots left a strong impression to me. The most interesting things about it from our teachers is that three changes in the dominator of this chapel, by 1809, it was used by missionaries as The Jews’ Chapel. Until 1976, it was adapted again as the London Jamme Masjid (Great London Mosque) by Bangladeshi.
As a result, the variety of architecture in Brick Lane truly prove that it is special and is the most multicultural area in Tower Hamlets or even in London. After this walk of Brick Lane, only visiting part of it cannot satisfy me, I think it is worth to be revisited in the future to explore more multicultural evidence, appreciate exquisite Graffities and taste foods came from different countries.]]> 2018-11-02 15:44:32 UTC https://padlet.com/1053688983/5fuy8xyshn23/wish/299850600 Three weeks course 1053688983 https://padlet.com/1053688983/5fuy8xyshn23/wish/299858945  It is essential to summarize the problems of my study method and talk about my behaviors in ELSS and research method courses. Especially, after I recieved the email showing that I was transfer to Group 3 to continue my following courses, this reflection appears more important.

  In terms of the issues of my study method, I think discussing more with classmates or teachers is essiential for me, being afraid of openning my mouth and without fluent spoken English which are both serious problems for me. In addition, I did not spend enough time doing self-study or reviewing the words and skills which are not understanded in classes. For example, in the first research method classes, we learned about the five main reading strategies: skimming, scaning, predicting reading etc. Although they are easy to make sence, when I was asked regarding these strategies by teacher on thefollowing week, I cannot explain them accurately or even forget part of them at all.

  Similarly, I also unsatisfied with my behaviors during class. Mainly because of my weakness listening skills, completing mission which was assigned by teacher during class slowly and influencing the whole process of group had left me feeling uncomfortable. For instance, I need to adapt this circumstance which is studing in a group quickly, that means speaking more, listening more, doing tasks efficiently.

  In conclusion, there are not issues arised from ELSS courses, it is actually problems happened on myself. I will try my best to reject my weakesses and put my heart into improving English skills in the future.
