Description: Through the spring and summer, CHEO offers intensive 8-week programs to support children with autism using IBI and ABA strategies. This program includes families as much as possible by providing them with activities to do both through the program and at home to promote communication and cooperative play. They also offer programs to prepare children and families to enter a school setting.

Description: There are three different locations that offer a variety of services in person, starting from the diagnosis and supporting families through being a teenager and transitioning into adulthood. Some of the main programs include Behavioural Consultation, Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy, as well as programs for parents that offer support and guidance to make life easier with a special needs child.

Description: Autism Ontario has multiple branches around the province that is a middle ground for people and families who have an autism diagnosis. They offer family support and connect individuals with the organizations and specialized programs that they need. Autism Ontario also hosts events to bring together families and encourage people with autism to step out of their comfort zone into safe, social settings.

Description: QuickStart is a charity and organisation that supports parents right after the diagnosis of their child. They offer weekly Early Intervention Programs where the family meets with a coach and parents learn strategies to support their child in developing language, fine motor skills and positive behaviours. They team each family with a speech therapist, occupational therapist and educator to create the best possible program. These activities can later be transferred to school to support with programming.

Description: Modeling their program after the expectations laid out by the Ontario Autism program, Terrace is an all encompassing resource that supports families and individuals not only through their Autism diagnosis, but through any mental health struggles as well. They offer ABA and IBI programs that expose children to the world at home and in the community. They work to create a program that successfully integrate your child into school, as well as offering programs for OT, speech, behaviour and parent support.
